This active program covers a good amount of ground each day. Expect from two to three hours walking on some touring days. The pace is moderate, however you will encounter some uneven surfaces, stairs, steps. A few early wake-ups, some between 6 and 7 am. Expect the longest time spent on the bus on the drive of 2 hours to and from Abu Dhabi. Weather is very pleasant during the day from October through April but sometimes it becomes a little cold and windy in the evening. The Desert Safari involves a rough drive over the dunes and low seating in the camp. It is not recommended for pregnant women, people with back problems or heart conditions. 

• At check-in, a credit card will be required for check-in to cover any room charges.
• A full day-by-day itinerary will be provided 2 months prior to travel.

Payments: All payments to Diva Getaways are non-refundable and non-transferable. In an effort to negotiate the best experience and price, our travel partners do not provide refunds.

Insurance: I further acknowledge that I have been advised to purchase travel insurance to protect my investment. The purchase of travel insurance to cover your vacation investment is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for unexpected circumstances that neither the travel agent nor the client can control. It is to be noted that if you do not add travel insurance, your entire trip investment  as well as medical emergencies may be at risk. Note: Insurance claim approval is determined by the travel insurance company, and Diva Getaways accepts absolutely no responsibility for any denied claims. 

Monthly payments: Your invoice will clearly note your payment plan and as a courtesy you will receive monthly electronic reminders.

Roommate: You must ensure your roommate, if applicable, is also making monthly payments. We will make every effort to notify you if your roommate is no longer complaint with our payment policy.

Changes: Flight, Hotels and Transfers- Diva Getaways will make every effort to operate all tours as printed in the itinerary, digital brochures, flyers and on the website. However, circumstances may arise which would require an adjustment to the tour. We will do our best to avoid such changes, but we must reserve the right to make such modifications if they are deemed to be necessary for any reason. Tours do not have a monetary value for a cash or credit refund.

Airline: Please note flight changes are at the discretion of the airline, therefore Diva Getaways reserves the right to make airline modifications as we see fit to accommodate our clients. Seat assignments are at the discretion of airlines. All seats for groups are located in economy class. .

Name Changes: Name changes are not permitted, name corrections will carry a fee of $50.00 and this information must be received in writing 30-days prior to departure or as specified by the airline.

Ground Transfers: Please note that all transfers and excursions will have specific times of departures and will be unable to accommodate late arrivals.

The Maldives is a nation of islands in the Indian Ocean, that spans across the equator. The country is comprised of 1192 islands that stretch along a length of 871 kilometers. While the country covers an area of approximately 90,000 square kilometers, only 298 square kilometers of that is dry land. The islands are grouped into a double chain of 26 atolls.

The country’s unique geography mesmerizes the visitor. Reefs that offer bands of color, tiny jewel-like islands rimmed with the whitest of soft sand surrounded by the clearest shallow waters that one can imagine. Only 200 of the islands are inhabited, and a select few on each of the atolls are resorts and some of the islands are used for industry and agriculture.

The beauty of the Maldives is not only above the water. The Maldives is home to about five percent of the planet’s reefs that comes with an explosion of color contributed by soft and hard corals that form them. The reefs are home to a thousand species of fish. Lured by the rich nutrients that flow in with the currents, large pelagic fishes such as manta rays and whale sharks also make the Maldives their home.

 We will depart from New York's JFK airport in the morning for a 13 hr. flight to Dubai on Emirates Airline. 

 We will arrive into Dubai in the morning. Persons interested in attending this optional dinner can book and join the group for a magical experience in the sky.  This experience offers a view above the ground where each passenger is in a secured buckled seat.  Dinner is prepared before your eyes and served to you while you are in the sky.   

 We will be picked up at an early hour to board a motor coach bus and embark upon the city of Dubai.  Sites include the The Palm Jumeirah, Photo stop at Dubai Marina and Burj Al Arab; Visit the The Dubai Mall & journey to the top of the Burj Khalifa (3rd tallest building in world) , then lunch (at your own expense).  After a short break having lunch, make a stop at the largest Frame in the work, then to the Gold /Spice Souk Al Bahar where you can purchase jewelry and many spices.  This concludes our tours, and we will return to the hotel.  

We are free during the morning, allowing for a relaxed breakfast, perhaps some pool or beach sun.  Then we will get picked up for a night of walking, exploring, entertainment, tasting ethnic dishes and shopping among various countries on display within the pavilion in the Global Village. Wear comfortable shoes, and clothing. This experience is an evening that you will not forget. 

This is our first day for the Expo, wear comfortable clothing and shoes. We will witness various cultures, lifestyles, gastronomy, Entertainment, from over 150 countries. Some advanced pre-planning may be needed to make the most of your time.  Transportation TBA 

This tour starts in the afternoon across the desert of Dubai with several stops for photography. During an exciting dune drive you arrive at the first destination for a beautiful sunset. We stop to watch the sunset and continue with Dune bashing to finally reach our campsite. Here you have the opportunity to do a short camel ride, sand boarding and try out a henna design on hand or feet. After working up an appetite you get to enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner and enjoy some live entertainment. 

 We are now in a descending mode, in preparation to return home, where currently, a Covid-19 test is required and will be performed during the morning at the hotel in your room.  The cost for the test is your expense and must be paid in advance.  Once the test is completed, depending on the schedule for the transportation to the Expo, you can visit the Expo experience. 

This morning we will board the motor coach and enjoy the ride into Abu Dhabi.  We will visit the beautiful Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (with proper attire), the Abu Dhabi Louvre, Emirates Palace and more, TBA 

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates and is considered to be the key for worship in the country.

Please note that there is a for visiting the mosques. Women must wear loose long trousers or long skirts and long sleeves. They must cover their head with a scarf. No tight or transparent clothing is permitted. No shorts are allowed for men.

After possibly needing another piece of luggage to carry back so many treasures from various countries, you will board the motor coach and head for the airport for your morning flight back home or continue on for an optional 3 night stay in the beautiful island of Maldives.
