8:05 am- Upon landing in Athens, we will clear Customs and Immigration and meet our local guide and driver who will start us with our 4-hour tour of Athens. After our tour, we will arrive at our hotel to check in at approx 2:00 pm. You will have time to rest and adjust to the changes in time or enjoy Athens at night on your own if you choose.

 Athens Tour- 4 hours

Athens is the capital and largest city in Greece and lies six miles from the port of Piraeus. It is one of the world’s oldest cities; its recorded history spans at least 3,000 years. Head towards the foot of the Acropolis, and pass the remains of the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch, the Roman archway built by Emperor Hadrian in 131-32. The Acropolis, or “High City,” is a true testament to the Golden Age of Greece, that magical period at the height of Pericles’ influence (461- 429 BCE) when the intellectual and artistic life of Athens flowered.  Seeing the ruins of the Parthenon, one of the archetypal images of Western culture is a revelation yet utterly familiar. The modern path makes a zigzagging ascent through the Beule Gate to legendary attractions such as the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and the Parthenon.  

Travel to the heart of Athens to Syntagma (Constitution) Square. At the top of the Square stands the Parliament Building, formerly the royal palace, where guards in their traditional costumes keep watch over the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Next, pass the Panathenaic Stadium and the National Gardens. Travel along University Street with its neo-classical buildings before heading back to the hotel.

Today we will check out of our Athens hotel, be picked up, and transferred to the Fast Ferry for your ride to Mykonos. Upon arriving in Mykonos we will be transferred to our 5-star Mykonos, Semeli hotel.

MYKONOS TOUR

Departing the hotel you will proceed south towards the beach of Agios Ioannis. On the way, you will pass Ornos Beach, one of the most beautiful and cosmopolitan beaches in Mykonos, with luxurious hotels, tavernas and yachts anchored offshore and enjoy a nice view of Delos Island in the background. Then you will continue to the centre of the island and the traditional village of Ano Mera. Reaching the courtyard of the Tourliani Monastery, along with your guide you will receive an outside orientation of the Panagia Tourliani Monastery, built by monks in 1542 and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The Monastery has wonderful, unique island architecture, while the beautifully carved marble fountain in the courtyard will surely impress us. Returning to the town of Mykonos, you will start your walking tour through the narrow whitewashed streets, where you will appreciate the fact that its confusing layout was designed to foil the attacking pirates. The picture-perfect Little Venice, so called due to its striking resemblance in design to the famous canal city, and the nearby windmills, an island trademark, both offer a wonderful photo opportunity. Have some free time before your return to the hotel.

Today we will check out of our Mykonos hotel, be picked up, and transferred to the Fast Ferry for your ride to Santorini. Upon arriving in Santorini we will be transferred to our 5-star NOUS hotel.

After breakfast, you will be picked up for your half-day tour of Santorini.

SANTORINI TOUR

Drive to the Black sandy beach, the longest beach in Cyclades. Continue to the most beautiful traditional villages of Santorini Megalochori. Typical traditional Cycladic houses neoclassic buildings and small houses in the volcanic rock blend together with harmony.  We find here also the typical small white churches with the blue domes, wine tasting will be followed in a local winery. Next stop uphill to the Monastery of the Prophet Elijah, the highest point of the island from where the view over the caldera is most majestic. Leave Prophet Elias and pass from "Pyrgos" (means Tower) Village, which is a beautiful and picturesque place. 

Last but not least Oia Village, built high up on the ridge of red rocks, offers breathtaking views of the blue Aegean and the caldera below. Take a stroll around the narrow with its cobblestone streets, beautiful old mansions, and houses perched on the cliffside, you’ll realize why the traditional Cycladic architecture is so well known.
