During our stay in Tamarindo, I completed five two-tank dives with Tamarindo Diving and had an outstanding experience. Lily and her staff were professional, friendly, and very accommodating. There is another instructor also named Lily who is from Brazil. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We dove the Santa Catalina Islands, about a 45-minute boat ride from Tamarindo Beach. The ride out was enjoyable, with great scenery and an upbeat, attentive crew. Underwater, the guiding was excellent. My guides—Lily, Lily Brazil and Manu—did a fantastic job locating both large pelagics and small macro subjects. On our dives we encountered huge schools of spot-tail grunts, schools of mobula rays, white-tip reef sharks, eagle rays, octopus, and several species of stingrays. The macro life was equally impressive, with sightings of harlequin shrimp, a wide variety of nudibranchs, and countless blennies. A real highlight was Lily finding a seahorse on the very first dive—a rare and special sighting for this area, and a testament to her sharp eyes and local knowledge. Between dives, the crew provided refreshments including fresh fruit, cookies, peanuts, water, and juices. They were also happy to share recommendations for local restaurants, and Lily pointed out Tamarindo’s weekly Thursday night market, which was a great bonus. Overall, Tamarindo Diving delivers a well-run operation with excellent guides, great service, and memorable diving. I would not hesitate to dive with them again and highly recommend them to anyone visiting Tamarindo.

I had an incredible time diving with Tamarindo Diving, full of rays and sharks! I hadn't dove in a while, but Isa and the rest of the crew were so kind to me and made sure I felt comfortable and had a great experience. Counting down until I can dive there again :)

Sooo fun, Samo and the crew really took care of my daughter and myself. We had great dives. Definitely will be back.
