Really great experience! I completed the Open Water Scuba Diver course with Tamarindo Diving and could not have asked for better instructors. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, and the whole process felt very safe!

Overall trip was OK. End of Feb water temps were much colder than I figured, mid 60's. Some current which the divemaster did a good job of avoiding. Visibility was fair to poor maybe 40' max. The crew were really good and helpful. Good snacks between the dives. It's nice being able to make a short walk from the dive shop to the beach for pickup.

Hi Alan, thank you for the review. January and February are Costa Rican cold, that why we recommend wetsuit, maybe double wetsuit for people that are very sensitive to the cold. But still is the best moment in the year when you will have the higher chances to see the Manta Ray. Pura Vida

It was an awesome time. The staff was very friendly and were good guides along the trip. We were able to see some cool fish, a shark and sting rays. On the way home we got to see some humpback whales alongside the boat. Be warned, it can be chilly in the water!

Lovely staff. Visibility wasn't great the day we went but the staff made up for it in the boat ride...humpback whales, dolphins, devils rays, sea turtles, sting rays, etc! Great day on the water.

Hi Amy! Thank you so much for your review. We really appreciate it. The visibility in January and February is ideal for seeing so much marine biodiversity because there's so much food for them in the water. Although it doesn't allow us to see very far, but it does allow us to see so many animals. Free Tip. Learn how to freedive till 2,3 meters and you will clearly hear the whales 🥰
