About This Trip- WEEKEND MISSION TRIP

Join Samaritan’s Feet for a meaningful mission experience in the Dominican Republic alongside By Grace Alone Ministries. Participants will serve local communities through shoe distributions, build relationships with children and families, and share the hope of the Gospel through acts of service and encouragement. Led by SFI with the help of JP Sangai, founder of, By Grace Alone Ministries, uses a community development approach to meet practical needs while building lasting relationships within the communities they serve.

In addition to serving, the team will have opportunities to experience the culture and beauty of the Dominican Republic. The weekend will include team fellowship and devotion, a visit to a local church, and time to explore the historic Old City and local markets. Participants may also have the opportunity to visit the Los Tres Ojos Caves. This trip offers a meaningful balance of service, cultural experiences, and fellowship while seeing how a simple pair of shoes can open the door to dignity, relationships, and Gospel-centered hope.

LaDonte Lee

LaDonte Lee is a servant leader, visionary, and systems thinker with a proven track record across the nonprofit and government sectors. With a deep commitment to education, youth development, mental health wellness, justice reform, and community development. LaDonte is known for centering equity and impact in all his work.

I began serving with SFI in 2008, when my pastor was on the board. I took my first trip with my church to South Africa and I chaperoned another trip with Charlotte-Mecklenburg School middle school students that same year. I’ve participated and led other mission trips with other NPOS. I’ve co-led service mission trips with partner organizations like YBLA with their students to Jamaica and Belize. And most recently I had the honor of leading a small but successful group to Ghana to work with SF Ghana’s team in 2025. My goal in missions is to exemplify the life and love of my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus to the people we join in service and serve in each nation across the globe!
