Following our continental breakfast, we are off for a full day of touring the Peninsula!
We will travel along the Green Bay shoreline to Egg Harbor and then across Kangaroo Lake to Bjorklunden Stave Chapel. Here we enjoy a guided tour of this
authentic chapel filled with 41 fresco paintings and beautiful wood carvings.
From here we stop at the Farm Market for samples of Wisconsin’s famous cheddars and other yummy treats. Having warmed up our taste buds, we have an included lunch of Swedish pancakes, meatballs and lingonberries at Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant.
Be sure to gaze up on the restaurant’s sod roof...it’s kept well trimmed by the goats that roam freely atop.
From here we drive through Door County’s largest state park, Peninsula State Park, to Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. No trip to Door County is complete without a tour of this 1868 historical lighthouse.
Next we enjoy a stop at Founders Square for shopping before returning to our hotel to freshen up before dinner. Tonight we enjoy an authentic Fish Boil Dinner at Scaturo’s Restaurant, complete with Door County cherry pie for dessert!
