Featured by National Geographic and TED, the Dual Narrative Tour (TM) is now open to the public! In this multi-narrative experience, see Jerusalem presented by one Jewish Israeli and one Palestinian guide in tandem. Visit the “Noble Sanctuary” or “Temple Mount,” the complex ascribed special meaning in biblical tradition, and holy for both Judaism and Islam. Move to a viewpoint overlooking Old City rooftops and the valleys beyond its walls – which points are emphasized in each guides’ narrative? Do the two relate differently to the city’s thousands of years of history? Visit the Church of Holy Sepulchre, a window into the diversity of Christian faith and living example of a tenuous truce. Pass through the Old City’s main arteries and small pathways. Who lived here hundreds of years ago? In 1929? 1967? How is it changing today? Understand deep religious and national ties to Jerusalem, consider recent tensions, and ponder the city’s future.

Amazing tour. Our guides had differing perspectives, but discussed them respectfully and in a way that provided the most context on the issues Israel faces today. The guides discussed broader history but also went into detailed discussions of the practical implications of living in the West Bank. Fascinating tour that I will be thinking about for a long time.

There were parts of this tour that were interesting and fun, then there were parts that were not. Fun: -Learning about the walls of Jerusalem. -Learning about the Palestinian plight. Not: -hearing the Palestinian perspective 80% of the time and the Jewish perspective 20%. -being rushed through the tourist sites so we could sit and get preached at about the injustices of the Jewish people towards Palestine. -the tour started late. -the ‘tour of two markets’ which I signed up for didn’t happen.

I took a brief solo trip to Jerusalem for a conference a couple of weeks ago, and was lucky to be able to book a half-day Dual Narrative Tour. This was my first trip to Israel and, while I'm a consummate news reader and feel fairly apprised of debates around Israeli and Palestinian histories, I was admittedly ignorant about much of the Old City and its place in modern day Israel/Palestine. This tour was a wonderful, enjoyable, and nuanced introduction into this space. The guides have no agenda other than to impart a sense of the complicated and contested histories here, from the ancient to the modern. Take this tour to feel the power and depth of the past, and learn a bit about how it informs the present.

I recommend this tour to every Jerusalem visitor. The two perspectives, Israeli and Palestinian view, provide a deep insight into the history and current situation of Israel and Palestine. Knowledgeable and nice guides, small group, much time for questions and discussions. Overall a great experience and one of the highlights of our visit to Jerusalem. Thank you.

This is the most thoughtful and challenging tour I've ever been on, in Israel or otherwise. And with it being so challenging, the respect and mutual admiration between our two guides, Meirav and Nour, inspired hope and dialogue. This tour is a must if you want to get a better idea of just how complicated the conflict is here while understanding both sides just a bit better. I am American Israeli, and I've been living in Israel for the past 7 years, and I can say with a full heart, more people from both sides of this conflict need to take this tour, as well as tourists! Aside from being such a wonderful tour, the organization and the ordering was so smooth. We were running a bit late, and it was very easy to get in touch with the tour organizers, and they were extremely helpful and patient with us. I'm looking forward to joining more tours from Mejdi in the future!!!
