Dubai Abras Crossing the Dubai Creek by boat is a popular mode of transport for many of the city’s residents and tourists. The boats used are small motorised water taxis called abras. They can hold around twenty people and offer the cheapest and fastest means of travelling between Deira and Bur Dubai.

Established in 1850, Deira's traditional souk area now comprises a range of markets restored to showcase their original architecture. Grand Souk Deira, just steps away from the Spice Souk entrance, is an ideal shopping destination for gifts and traditional Arabian goods.

The market has a variety of goods on offer, including toys, household items and an array of gifts and keepsakes with the Arabian aesthetic. Examples include trays, spices, perfumes, herbs, shawls and other fabrics.

The shopping site emerged because of its close proximity to the harbour area, where merchants received goods from merchant ships that arrived from Africa and the subcontinent. More than 220 historic building facades have been refurbished and the surrounding urban spaces have been modified to enhance the visitor experience.

Souk Madinat Jumeirah is an authentic re-creation of an ancient marketplace with traditional Middle Eastern style and ambiance though a little disappointed to see that it was not as crowded as before and there were lesser shops than usual but this place fascinates me as it reminds me of an ancient market place that’s a blend of both old and new!

Departure to discover the marvelous story of the EXPO 2020. Expo 2020 can be seen as a type of “World Fair,” showcasing the best innovations that mankind has to offer. It will consist of a series of pavilions connected by common themes that apply to all of humanity. The Expo provides a platform for the world’s best Expo 2020 centers on the theme of “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.” This links back to three main ideas – “Opportunity”, ”Mobility” and “Sustainability”, which will drive the Exhibition displays. The main site of Expo Dubai 2020 will be a 438-hectare area (1083 acres) located between Dubai and Abu Dhabi cities, UAE selected the theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, sub-themes being Sustainability, Mobility, and Opportunity.

The Expo 2020 site has a lot of really cool features. The plaza will be encased by a dome. At night, that dome will serve as a 360-degree screen, projecting a series of images both on the inside and the outside. Inside the dome, you’ll find the pavilions as well as features like fountains, parks, and waterfalls. The dome is partially open at the top, so there’s no need to worry about the arena feeling stale. More than 140 countries will be participating, and each participating country will have its pavilion at the exhibition, with every pavilion featuring inventions and innovations hailing from that country. Even the UAE will have its specialized pavilion, done up in an outline of a falcon. There will also be specialized pavilions focusing on the three main themes sustainability, mobility, and opportunity.  At the end of the day, our guide will escort you back to your hotel. The 1300-seater capacity magnificent theatre organizes various shows daily from various genres and art forms that surely deserve attention. There are 65 international artists from 23 countries performing aerial acts, acrobatics, silk acts, dance shows, theatre acts, musicals and much more. The shows are mostly sold out, such is the level of expertise of the talent you will see at the La Perle by Dragone. Almost 10 performances per week have been happening in the La Perle by Dragone. The famous Dubai theatre of the city is using state-of-the-art technology while building an aqua-stage and a 12 meters deep pool. This takes the experience of live entertainment to a whole new level.
