Today we will enjoy a full day private boat charter exploring the area surrounding Dubrovnik. We'll skip the tourist traps and visit yet undiscovered places.
There are various rock formations such as caves, high cliffs and shallow green water bays along the mainland and island's coast. These are a rare and unique sight. We will cruise most of them. You can enjoy them from the boat or we can drop the anchor and you can swim into the caves and green water bays. There are also numerous villages on both the islands and the mainland coastline which you can enjoy as we cruise.
There are a few secret beaches that can only be accessed off the boat (it's a short swim). They are hidden from plain sight and unknown to average skippers. Most of these beaches have pine trees to hide from the sun. The water is shallow and clear. These are great swimming and snorkeling spots.
We will stop for lunch on Elaphiti Isalnd. The restaurant is located at the family's house. The family has been living on the island for many generations.
The owner is a farmer, a grill master and an ex captain. He spends most of his time in the field, growing vegetables and taking care of olive trees.
The food is simple, yet delicious and plentiful (it's a 4 course lunch). Most of the food is locally grown on the island (veggies, olive oil, fish, wine). The tables are set in heavy shade on a terrace.
Lunch is composed of prosciutto and cheese, soup, seasonal salad, grilled meat or fish with locally grown vegetables, homemade sweets and coffee.
