About this trip

On our AMAZING Dunedin (Dun-eed-in) Hub Tour, we will enjoy riding 100% paved bike paths, featuring the Pinellas Loop Trail, a wonderful 68 mile rail trail which connects Dunedin with Clearwater, Tarpon Springs, St. Petersburg, Safety Harbor and other smaller cities. This well-known trail is very popular and passes through quiet neighborhoods, manufacturing centers, past coffee shops and breweries, in several cities and towns. On this tour we will explore areas north and south of Dunedin. We’ll visit Clearwater, Honeymoon Island, Clearwater Beach and Tarpon Springs. We'll also cycle the spectacular Courtney Campbell Causeway Trail across Tampa Bay, one of the longest cycling trails over water in the country!

Our mileage averages around 25 per day on paved bike paths, with more mileage available daily.

What's a Hub Tour? We stay at the same hotel each night -- located ON the bike trail -- and set out on our rides from there each day.

Tour Leaders: Jack Pettry & Maer Seibert

What about E-bikes?

Senior Cycling does NOT have E-bikes available for rent, but you are welcome to bring your own Class 1 (Pedal-assist only) E-bike on this tour.

Difficulty rating of this tour:

On a scale of 1-5, with 5 being most difficult, this tour is a 3 -- pretty easy and relaxed.  The first 4 days' distances are moderate, around 25 miles or less, with Day 5 significantly less) and the terrain is virtually flat (the only elevations being the bridges over waterways).

The leaders, Mike & Ned were fabulous. Understanding, accommodating and knowledgeable. The hotels we stayed in were lovely and the restaurants chosen for lunches & dinners were excellent. I was not as prepared as I should have been for the miles in the saddle everyday, but there was no problem taking the van when I was done for the day.

Loved the trail (and the unanticipated on-road hills due to part of trail being washed out after recent storms)—very scenic, very well maintained. Lots of ‘up’ grade riding on this trail—not like a lot of other rails to trails rides I’ve done (GAP being an exception, at least on one day). 🚴‍♀️ The day off (optional ride offered) was so much fun in Mont Tremblant—we took the gondola up to the top (a must-do in my book!), hiked a bit to the top of the observation tower, kayaked on Lake Mercier, took a dip in the lake both afternoons we were there, ate some great food, walked through the hill town, enjoyed the beautiful weather! Loved the diversion to the ‘tree-top’ walk in the Laurentides. 😻Our guides Jacques & Stephanie did a great job adjusting on the fly as needed throughout the trip to ensure we had a great time. Manoir Stonehaven the last night was a real treat—don’t miss the steam room built into the hill!

Great trip! Beautiful scenery along a world-class trail. The guides were second-to-none; they were very professional yet super- fun. The foodchoices/restaurants were all excellent.

This trip delivered more than I expected. The guides ironed out the wrinkles that pop up and delivered a safe biking experience. The food and acomidations ran from OK to the best and reflected what was in the area. You don't have to be a super biker to enjoy this trip. The variety of biking in Montreal, the great rail trail and midweek rest day at the Mont Tremblant resort provided a great blend. I think all the members of the group had a great time.
