Your home away from home will be the lovely Odyssey Suites with it’s amazing staff and renowned food, all located in the Askeli neighbourhood of Poros. You will experience first hand the preparations for Easter happening all around. We will join in the procession from a local church and walk to the Center of Poros. A bier, prepared with flowers symbolizing the Body of Christ, is walked to the Center amongst other biers from local churches. Every local participates in this Epitafios procession, many carrying a candle. Afterwards, you will able to share an ouzo with the locals at one of the many tavernas on Poros.

On the day of the Rising of Christ, symbolized by the arrival of the “light” at midnight, each church’s priest will exclaim, “Christos Anesti.” We will have prepared our own candles and enjoy fireworks at the Naval Base. This will be the first moment for those who have fasted for 40 days to eat meat so there will be many bbq’s and dancing all around!

On Easter Day, we will enjoy lunch Greek Easter Style with great food, amazing wines and Greek music for a spectacular party!

On another day you will have the pleasure of participating in Odyssey’s world renowned Greek cooking workshop with owner Katerina and her daughter, Dora! Clients return year after year for this amazing workshop because this day is always a delight! After the class, you will dine on the fresh meal you have prepared along with a local wine tasting and decide which wine goes best with your main course, all right at home!

During your stay, a guided day trip to the neighbouring Island of Hydra will be sure to please! There will be time for you to pop in the wonderful boutiques and have lunch.

After an early breakfast on one of your days, you will driven by coach for a guided visit to several sites on the Peloponnese, the mainland. You will visit the world renowned Epidaurus theatre which is the most ancient theatre still in use. Lunch will be in Nafplion (on your own), one of the MOST beautiful towns in Greece. After lunch you can enjoying exploring more on your own, shop and try the most amazing ice-cream ever at a famous gelateria. Upon your return you will stop at a local winery and taste some amazing wines.

There will be enough free time for you to explore Poros on your own, enjoy one of her many beaches, witness an amazing sunset, rent a quad and explore, or just relax. On Easter day we will travel to Katerina’s organic olive farm to participate in the Easter festivities. There we all together will roast the lamb for Easter and will celebrate the day.

Before you know it, the time has come to say good-bye to Poros and head to the Greek Capital of Athens, a booming city rich in culture. Your hotel in Athens will be located near the famous Acropolis, Syntagma Square, the Plaka and the King’s Garden. This afternoon you can choose between exploring the city center by yourselves or you can book as an option a guided visit of the Acropolis and her museum. Dinner will be on your own this evening and this is where we will say good-bye.

Sadly, all nice things must come to an end. After an early breakfast at your hotel the following day, you will leave for Athens International airport for your departure home. Leave some time for Duty Free!
