Trip Description

Everest region is a trekkers’ paradise. Everest Base Camp Gokyo Lake Trek is one of the brilliant trekking that offers the exclusive panoramas of the 8000-meter peaks, Lakes and glaciers. The technical Cho La Pass connects the Everest base camp and the Gokyo Lake, which is over 5000 meters and is often regarded as the most technical pass among three high passes in the Everest region.

The excellent trek to Everest Base Camp via Gokyo Lake begins from Lukla. Passing the Sherpa villages, you reach to the crowd of Sherpa communities at Namche Bazaar and Khumjung. This trek requires acclimatization to walk in the thin air region.  Physical fitness comes along with it. During the acclimatizing hike around the village, you can explore the cultural fascinations of monasteries, chorttens and mani walls. There are two ways to walk further, going to the Gokyo Lake first or to Everest base camp. This trek itinerary leads you to the Gokyo lake, then to the Everest Base Camp after crossing the Cho La Pass. Everest base camp and Kalapatthar are famous destinations. Cho La Pass is steep and technical, which is tiresome as well.

With great effort, you can do this and climb down to Dzongla. During the Everest Cho La Pass Gokyo Lake Trekking, you can explore the Himalayan views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Lotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Nuptse along with the Ngozumba glacier.

The Everest base camp Gokyo Lake Trek ends at Lukla after descending from the Everest Base Camp. Adventure Bound organizes this trek with all arrangements. Please, contact us for more details.

Amazing and unforgettable experience - highly recommend Rabin as a guide! We did the Tsum Valley and Manaslu Circuit Trek and I can hardly express how amazing this experience has been to us! Adventure Bound did everything to make this trip work out great and with ease: Already in preparation of our journey, Mr Laxman was very kind and helpful, adapting the itinerary to our wishes, preparing the documents needed and answering all the questions we had. We got picked up at the airport in Kathmandu and spent our first and last night in his hotel - nice and cozy rooms and breakfast included. I was especially grateful Adventure Bound lent me some spikes so I didn't have to buy some. I consider myself especially lucky for getting the best guide we could ever wish for: Throughout the whole trip Rabin was an excellent guide! I really appreciate the way he organized our trip, he always found very nice and comfortable rooms for us, the trek was well planned, but still flexible enough according to our needs or to the weather. Rabin was very supportive and always encouraged us to stay positive, even though the trekking was sometimes tough. All the time he made me feel safe and in good hands! For example, the day before the crossing of the Larke Pass there have been some rumours in the camp about bad weather, some people would even return back the same day. Rabin assured us to stay optimistic, as the weather was pretty usual at that time. So we got up early next morning to do the pass and actually we had perfect weather. I'm glad I trusted Rabin's advice, as he is truly a very experienced guide! Special thanks also go out to our porter Monoj, the strongest and fastest porter in the whole Himalayan region. I admire him for carrying much more than we did and still he always was the first to reach the next goal. Also he was very kind and attentive (often checking we didn't forget anything e.g.). Also I have to mention that we simply had so much to laugh together, playing cards and chatting with Rabin and Monoj was so much fun! Thank you Rabin and Monoj, we had a wonderful and unforgettable time! I hope to come back one day!

Review Adventure Bound Annapurna Circuit Trek My daughter and I did the Annapurna Circuit Trek hiking in 15 days which was an great experience with amazing views and changing scenery from the beginning to the end. We recommend to do the whole trek if time allows so (even though there are some passages on roads but still it is definitely worth it). Everything was very good organized in advance and throughout the whole trek and flexible adjustments were possible. Thanks a lot to our porter Laxman and guide Santosh and their humor and patience (especially for crossing the pass). Santosh was very knowledgeable about culture and nature, picked always very nice places to stay and was always up to to do his best for our trek and stay in Nepal. Thanks a lot! We highly recommend Adventure Bound and its very good and friendly team!
