Dance The Medicine

Our Dream Team at Dance the Medicine includes established Conscious and Ecstatic Dance event organizer, movement facilitators  and DJ's, We are diverse, coming from a wide array of backgrounds and modalities with varying visions about how to deliver our dance medicine to the world. What we share is a love of dance, music and community. We are collaborative, empathetic, action-minded and believe that dance has the ability to change the world! Come learn, play and DANCE with us!

Wonderful feeling of community has been created! A lot of support from student to student. New connections and inspiration.
Accommodation was great even with double rooms. Food was great. 
What could be a bit different in the organisation:
More practical tasks and exercising together, breaks during long classes   it's okif not everyone gets to play. 
Would be nice to have some free time and free day for an excursion together.

Dance Facilitator Training 2023 • SPAIN

Dance Forward Retreat facilitated by DanceTheMedicine was a holistic experience where body, spirit and mind were all nourished. The calibre and care  of the ED Dj's and facilitators offered a safe space to voyage into music. The art and emotionally focused experiences were equally presented and looked after with full consciousness and respect for both the individual, and the collective process that was developing throughout the days. Mixing the energy of people who were purely part of the retreat with "day participants", provided freshness and renewal of the energy within the retreat. Having previously collaborated through @flavoured.it, and then had a personal experience with DanceTheMedicine, I feel I can recommend them All, as they work in unity. @flavoured.it reputation thrives on integrity and objectiveness, when it comes to both collaborating professionally and/or  personally being part of conscious projects, and I have no hesitation in recommending DanceTheMedicine. Immense gratitude for the enriching experience!

It was a great experience and definitely worth the investment! The instructors were knowledgeable and the classes were interact to make it even more fun! I’m so glad I decided to join this group!

Ecstatic DJ School - Spring 2022

This school was amazingly well-thought out and put together. A great balance of learning technique, theory, and practicing. The 1-on-1 time with experienced DJs was also extremely helpful. I ended this school experience feeling like my time and money was well-invested!

A fantastic course. I started as a total beginner and am now on my way to being a real DJ. 

I loved the experience. It was fun, I felt held and have a made a fantastic network of friends and discovered new parts of myself in the process. 

Thank you to everyone involved. 

This is my second training with DTM. They have an amazing team of creative, down-to-earth and compassionate beings who succeed in creating such wonderfully supportive containers to meet everyone wherever they may be on their journey to share joy, dance and music with their communities. It's personally been such a joyful ride so far and I have been given a great foundation to launch my own dance projects. Highly recommend you dive right in!


Conscious Dance Leadership Training 2022

This was such a fantastic course & I absolutely loved Bernice's energy & passion! I have been lucky enough to jump straight into facilitating ecstatic dances & felt ready & confident, due to this course. I am hugely grateful. I would love it it there was more of a a conversation around diversity as this is still an area that makes a lot of people feel incredibly uncomfortable. I would be very happy to have more of a conversation about this. Thanks again & much love xx

Embodied Facilitator Training 2021

Absolutely incredible. I loved this training course. I have learned so much that is applicable not just in terms of facilitating conscious dance, but about embodiment and the wider aspects and benefits of it.  Also the importance of the role a Facilitator has both in a wider context (healing for humanity) and a smaller context (healing for the self and individuals) and even a little bit of physics! Ultimately I feel a part of something, a growing community and I cannot wait to contribute to this by taking this training forward.
