7.00 to 8.00 am : breakfast at the hotel, after this, the bus comes to the hotel to look for the group and take them straight to the University (Casual clothes). We should be ready at 10:45 am for the appointment with Dr. Pelaes who will answer some of the questions that the students may have. Here, it will be convenient an introduction from  Maria with the Dr about the group, who will provide information and objectives of the visit.

At the end of the visit with Dr. Pelaes, we will leave the facilities and meet with Mr. José Leal, who will give us a tour of approximately 1 hour at the university facilities, as well as part of the university's history and the meaning of each mural made to commemorate anniversaries of murders that happened at the time of the armed conflict.

At the end of the tour, we will take the bus back to Antigua Guatemala and if we have time we will have lunch in Antigua Guatemala, if it were too late we will look for a restaurant on the way.

Upon arrival in Antigua, we will go straight to the CIRMA Library to make our first visit to this place of 4 that we will do during the course of the program. In the evening we will meet for dinner at Raibow Cafe.

7:00 am  We will have breakfast among the ruins at the Santa Catalina convent, 5 minutes from the hotel. 5a. avenue and second street under the Arch of Santa Catalina. 

Then visit CIRMA, and at the end of the bus will be waiting for us to go to Santiago Zamora, our day's activity. There, we will start with a delicious lunch. 

This day we will try Pepián (the typical and traditional food of the families for meetings and important events in Guatemala.)  After lunch we will hear from the women weavers the history and tradition of this indigenous people. The meaning of the typical costume of the place. At the end you can buy textiles made by women at a cheaper price than in the open markets of Antigua.

Guatemala. We will return to Antigua and in the evening we will have dinner at the Texas style restaurant in Antigua PAPPYS BBQS.

7:00 am  We will have another breakfast among ruins  at at the Casa Blanca restaurant, on the way to Guatemala City. 8:45 am  We will take the bus, to go to Tierra Viva facilities, where we will have .

the opportunity to consult the documentation that they have inside their own  library. We will have time to consult the Tierra Viva documents and afterwards we will have the opportunity to hear from the delegates of each city the actions they take to raise women's awareness of their rights and obligations before the law. 

After this, we will enjoy a lunch with all the guests at the meeting and at the end we will move to the Swedish embassy, where we will finish the activity of the day. In the end we will move back to Antigua Guatemala, where we will have dinner at Caoba Farms.

Breakfast at the Santa Catalina convent, 5 minutes from the hotel. 5a. avenue and 2nd street under the Arch of Santa Catalina; then, we will go to the Library of Social Sciences, the oldest of the three CIRMA collections, It was founded in 1978 with the union of the  libraries staff of some of its founders. Nowadays, it has an exceptional collection focused on the Mesoamerican region that includes more than 45,300 titles, 7,000 documents, a wide range of magazines and a cozy reading room. In addition, it takes pride to protect two collections: the personal collection of Franz Termer and the collection of Ancient Books, authentic bibliographic gems that span from the beginning of the 17th century to the middle of the 19th century. 

After the library visit, we will adventure to the Hobbitenango mountains for lunch on the heights with breathtaking views of Antigua and surrounding areas, then return to the CIRMA. In the evening, dinner at the local restaurant.

Today we will start early at 6:30 a.m. We will get all our luggage in the vans to go to Panajachel. 

We will make a stop on the way to have breakfast at the Chichoy Restaurant. Here, you will have the opportunity to make TORTILLAS with the staff of the restaurant. After this, we will go straight to Panajachel, where we will have time to walk down Calle Santader (the main street of this magical place) and wait for lunch here before leaving for San Juan. A boat will be waiting for us to take us to our this day's destination  SAN JUAN LA LAGUNA.

 At 2:00 p.m. we will be ready to take the coffee tour in the cooperative LA VOZ QUE CLAMA EN EL DESIERTO (the voice that cries out in the desert) On November 28, 1977, a group of community members between men and women with their own initiative decided to work as a team to promote the cultivation and commercialization of coffee, and in 1979  Cooperativa La Voz que Clama en el Desierto BECOMES LEGAL. the tour lasts about 2 hours. The cooperative is in San Juan La Laguna, Sololá, Guatemala. 10 minutes from the pier of San Juan walking or 5 minutes in tuk-tuk

Today, the group will take the day off, to do their surveys with students of the LISI school.

 Today , you will have time to enjoy the last morning in San Juan 8:00 am the boat will be waiting for us at the dock to take us back to Panajachel, we will go on the bus to Antigua and, on the way, we will look for a place to have lunch, at the end of the  lunch we will go to the same Hotel in Antigua to check in. 

5:00 pm , we will have our last activity, a salsa class with the whole group.  In the evening we will prepare for our final dinner in a closed-door restaurant.
