About your trip

Educators!

Have you ever felt that your students lacked connection to you and to each other?

Are you interested in bringing Yoga into your classroom in a fun and relaxing way?

Would you like to teach your students how to slow down and breathe?

Have you desired tools to make your classroom environment more manageable?

Then join Rachel Rajput and Nina Portugal  for this Labor Day Weekend Retreat.  This is a relaxing, educational trip for schoolteachers, yoga teachers, and others who lead. Whether you teach infants, adults, or anyone in between, we think you will benefit from this experience.

We will begin our day with a light breakfast, followed by Morning Yoga. Brunch is a long and leisurely affair, followed by plenty of time for Hiking / Journaling / Hot Tubbing / Relaxing. We will then meet for afternoon workshops Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The theme is bringing Yoga and Mindfulness into your classroom. These sessions will be followed by Restorative Yoga and dinner. Turn in early, or join us for a campfire, conversation, and (of course) more Hot Tub time!

Non-teacher friends and partners are welcome...they can just skip the afternoon lecture sessions.

Our Retreat is held at Camp Double Bear in the Santa Cruz mountains. It will begin on Friday afternoon and go through Labor Day Monday at brunch. Camp Double Bear is a private camp situated on 100 acres in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The land is forested with madrones, firs, oaks, bays, and redwoods, and the views are amazing!

Rise early for Morning Meditation, take a Sunrise Hike...or sleep in and be cozy! Our morning yoga practice will be a Power Flow at 10am, so prepare to sweat and remember your water bottle. Brunch will be served afterwards, a nice long lingering meal with Mimosas if you choose. Then, sunbathe, hot-tub explore local wineries, hike, or just chill! We will be offering a Mala-making workshop for those who feel called to create a piece of art to remember their experience. In the late afternoon, we will have a Restorative Yoga practice followed by dinner, campfire, and more hot-tubbing! (Can you tell we love hot-tubbing?))
