Egypt needs almost no introduction - you have likely dreamed about seeing the icons of Egypt such as the Pyramids and King Tut.  On this tour we will see those sights but also expand your understanding of the Ancient Egyptian past. You’ll soar above the Valley of the Kings in a hot air balloon, watch the banks of the Nile pass from your stateroom on a Nile cruiser, and taste the life of Indiana Jones as you wander the markets of Cairo (no whip necessary). Besides the classic Egyptian travel experiences, we will also introduce you to contemporary Egyptian culture, the Islamic religion, and wrap it up with a day aboard a yacht enjoying the natural beauty of the Red Sea.  

Let’s be honest - Egypt is a little rough around the edges. We have learned that comfort after a day of exploration makes for happy travelers.  We have upgraded all of our accommodations in this new itinerary, and while we are not calling it a luxury tour we can certainly say that it will feel luxurious.  Guests on this tour are the luckiest travelers in Egypt as they are guided by our friend and colleague, Hoda, who brings Egyptian history to life.

Welcome to Egypt! We will begin with a welcome meeting and a dinner where you can get to know your fellow travelers.  Over the next three days, we will visit the Giza pyramids and Sphinx, Cairo Grand Egyptian Museum, khan al Khalil market, Saqqara, and Memphis.  

After checking into our cruise boat we will experience high tea at the Old Cataract Hotel. In the evening we will enjoy a sunset felucca boat ride with drinks.

In the following days we will visit the temple of ISIS, the Aswan market and the Kom Ombo Temple.  Free time to explore along the Nile will also be included.

After leaving the cruise boat we will visit the Valley of the Kings and Queens plus Queen Hatshepsut Temple, Luxor Temple, and Karnak Temple. Delicious lunches are included on both days.

After traveling to Hurghada you will have the afternoon on your own to explore.  The next day we will go for a private yacht ride (lunch included). Enjoy snorkeling and swimming in the open water!

We will return to Cairo and enjoy a final dinner together.  After breakfast on the last day the tour is over but, your guide will be available to help arrange transfers.
