Today we wake up early to explore the pyramids of Giza before it gets too hot. Get ready for an enchanting journey through time as you embark on an exploration of the mystical Giza plateau. In the morning, a short transfer will whisk you away to the plateau, where the awe-inspiring Pyramids await your discovery. Following this, embark on a camel ride to traverse the pyramid's surroundings. Later, a leisurely walk will take you to the enigmatic Great Sphinx of Giza. 

At midday, enjoy lunch in the pyramid area. After lunch, you'll be transported back to Memphis the 1st ever Egyptian city and the main highlight of Saqqara, the Step Pyramid of Djoser which is considered to be the first pyramid built in Egypt (completed around 2648 BC). To put this in perspective, the Step Pyramid was completed a full one hundred years before work on the pyramids at Giza even began.  

For this day, be sure to wear comfortable footwear, a hat, sunscreen, and bring with you a bottle of water to stay hydrated. In adherence to local customs, kindly dress modestly, avoiding exposure of your back and shoulders.

Today we will take a flight to Aswan to stay in a Nubian village offering an authentic firsthand experience of modern Nubian culture. Aswan, renowned for its picturesque Nile Valley landscapes, significant archaeological sites, and serene ambiance, invites you to explore its wonders. Some of the must-see attractions in Aswan include the Philae Temple, the high dam, and the old town souk. While near the Nile River, it's advisable to have mosquito repellent on hand. 

In the evening, you'll be welcomed into the house of a local Nubian family for a memorable dinner, gaining insight into their daily lives. Here, you'll witness a different side of Egyptian life, taste delightful Nubian dishes, and engage in storytelling with your warm hosts. A typical Nubian show featuring musical performances will add the perfect touch for a memorable night. Feel free to move to the rhythms of the music and let your body dance.

Today it will be a flexible day. You can stay in Aswan and enjoy activities that we will plan for you in the city or you will have the option to visit the Temples of Abu Simbel. Please bring sunscreen, water, an umbrella or scarf to cover you from the blazing midday sun. 

The Great Temple of Ramses II at Abu Simbel stands as a monumental testament to the might and glory of ancient Egypt’s New Kingdom era. The Temple of Hathor, nestled beside the imposing Great Temple of Abu Simbel in southern Egypt, stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of Queen Nefertatri and the worship of Hathor, the goddess of love, music, and motherhood. Carved into sandstone cliffs, this smaller yet intricately adorned temple is a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture and artistry. At the temple’s entrance, visitors are greeted by colossal statues of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari, symbolizing their divine partnership and underscoring the importance of the queen in the pharaoh’s rule. 

We will have lunch in the restaurant on the property which offers a combination of Egyptian and international fare. Dinner is not included to give you a chance to explore the city at your leisure.

Next, we’ll head to the Temple of Kom Ombo, a unique double temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Har wer (Horus the Elder). This temple is a masterpiece of architectural harmony, where the past comes to life under the Egyptian sun.

After a delicious lunch, prepare to be amazed by two of Egypt’s greatest temple complexes. First, explore the awe-inspiring Karnak Temple, one of the largest and most impressive religious structures in the world. Dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, it will leave you speechless with its vast halls, towering columns, and intricate carvings. Then, visit the Temple of Luxor, another wonder that brings you face-to-face with the majesty of Egypt's Pharaonic past. Luxor Temple is a symbol of the power and beauty of ancient Egypt, a true testament to the greatness of the pharaohs.

Today you have the option to wake up early to participate in a sunrise hot air balloon ride above the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temples. This experience is not included and will come at an additional cost. 

Embark on an exhilarating day to explore the highlights of Luxor. Begin with an early morning transfer to the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens, where you'll unravel the mysteries of royal tombs and ancient rituals. A brief transfer follows, leading to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the imposing Colossi of Memnon. Later, indulge in a memorable lunch featuring traditional cuisine at a local house.  Post-lunch, we will do a felucca boat ride down the Nile River. Then we will head to the hotel for freshening up, check out, and then a direct transfer to Luxor airport for a domestic flight to Cairo.

Today, we’re visiting the Fayoum Oasis to explore Wadi El Rayan Reserve, Egypt’s first natural protectorate, known for its serene lakes and stunning views. We’ll visit Wadi El Rayan Lake, the Enchanted Lake with unique geological formations, and Wadi al Hitan, a UNESCO site with ancient whale fossils. After a relaxing lunch in nature, we’ll return to Cairo.

Established in the 14th century, the Khan El-Khalili market in Cairo has a rich and fascinating history, making it an important district for both cultural and economic activity. This historic bazaar has been a hub of trade and commerce for centuries, showcasing the enduring traditions of Egyptian craftsmanship and merchant culture. Stepping into Khan El-Khalili is like taking a journey back in time, where you can immerse yourself in the history of this bustling marketplace and explore its intricate alleyways, lined with stalls offering a wide array of goods, from intricate jewelry to colorful textiles and aromatic spices.

Get ready for a traditional Egyptian dinner cooking class. This is our last meal together.  Enjoy a private and authentic Egyptian cooking class in a local's home. You can expect a delicious, home cooked Egyptian meal, insights into the local culture and culinary traditions, along with memorable conversations. For your hands-on Egyptian cooking class, learn how to cook a dish from scratch - either an appetizer + main course or a main course + dessert.

Hoy visitamos el Fayum para explorar la Reserva de Wadi El Rayan, el primer protectorado natural de Egipto, conocido por sus serenos lagos y sus impresionantes vistas. Visitaremos el lago Wadi El Rayan, el lago encantado con formaciones geológicas únicas, y el wadi al Hitan, un sitio de la UNESCO con fósiles de ballenas antiguas. Después de un relajante almuerzo en la naturaleza, regresaremos a El Cairo.
