Code of Conduct

At Muslim Ski Club, we are committed to providing a respectful, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all participants.

Above all else, participants must act respectfully, follow Islamic values, and observe local laws. Modest dress and accommodation of prayer breaks are required at all times. Any haraam relationships or substances, including Alcohol, are strictly prohibited.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination. If any concerns arise during the trip, please communicate with the tour leaders for resolution.

Any inappropriate behaviour may result in the termination of services without a refund.

By booking, you agree to these guidelines and the general terms and conditions.

Important Considerations:  

Before booking, please inform us of any medical conditions or other circumstances that might impact your trip. This allows us to assess whether the holiday is suitable for you. If you have reduced mobility (e.g., difficulty walking 500 meters unaided) or require additional support, you must notify us before making a booking.

Additionally, if any changes occur to your health or mobility after booking, you must inform us at least 48 hours before departure to allow us to make necessary adjustments. Failure to provide this information in time may result in the trip being unsuitable for you, and no refund will be issued in such cases.

Medical Disclosure:

To ensure your safety and well-being, we will ask you to disclose any medical conditions at the time of booking. This information will be kept confidential and only shared with relevant parties in the event of an emergency. 

Passport Validity: 

It is your responsibility to ensure that your travel documents meet the entry requirements for France and the Schengen Area. For travellers requiring a visa to enter France, please check the latest requirements via the official French government website or with your local consulate. Entry rules may change, so we strongly recommend checking the latest travel advice on the UK Government website.

Travel Insurance: 

Travel insurance is Mandatory for this trip. All travellers must purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes winter sports coverage. This policy should cover as a minimum:
✔ Ski equipment rental (including theft/loss)
✔ Medical emergencies & treatment
✔ Trip cancellations, curtailment, & disruptions
✔ Personal belongings, baggage, and money
✔ Repatriation & emergency assistance
✔ Pre-existing medical conditions

✔ Personal liability cover

This requirement applies to everyone in your booking, including children and infants. Your insurance must be active from the time of booking and cover the entire duration of your trip.

Important: The Muslim Ski Club and it's providers do not provide travel insurance, and we are not responsible for any issues arising from inadequate or void policies. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified insurance provider to ensure your policy includes all necessary protections. 

Flights and Transfers: You are responsible for your own travel arrangements to and from the meeting points at the agreed times, in this case, Geneva airport. 

Shared Geneva Airport transfers are included in your chalet holiday. You will be scheduled onto a shared transfer within 2 hours of your scheduled flight landing time. Your shared transfer will normally be in an 8-seater minibus. 

Typically, it takes 1 hour 30 minutes from Geneva Airport, plus 15 minutes for the snowcat to the chalet. 

Please note if you miss the allocated time for the shared transfer, there will be an additional fee to re-arrange this, alternatively you can arrange your own transfer to and from the Avoriaz ski resort.

Flight recommendations: (you are free to choose any flight that suits your location, as transfers will be arranged per traveller)

• Please ensure your flights are scheduled to land no later than 16:00

• You will be scheduled onto a shared transfer within 2 hours of your scheduled flight landing time

Departures: 

Mon, 30th Mar 2026 

• Please ensure your flights are scheduled to depart after 11:00

• You will be scheduled onto a shared transfer to check in at the airport around 2 hours before your flight departs

• The last shared transfer leaves Avoriaz at 17:30

If the shared transfer times do not work for your flight times, private transfers are available subject to availability. Please advise us before travel of any ski or snowboard bags you are bringing with you, to ensure we book a suitable vehicle. 

If you book or have booked flights outside of the restricted times you are at risk of not having a transfer or incurring extra fees.

At Muslim Ski Club, we are dedicated to crafting exceptional ski travel experiences that are carefully planned to provide our members with the best possible adventure. To ensure smooth coordination with our partners and suppliers, we require payments well in advance. Once your deposit is processed, it becomes non-refundable, as it is used to secure the services from our suppliers, often months before the trip. We truly appreciate your understanding in this regard. Please review the terms and conditions carefully. By booking your trip, you agree to abide by these conditions.

Payments and Cancellations

Deposit: 

A non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of 35% is required upon booking to secure your spot. This deposit is used to confirm arrangements with our partners and suppliers and cannot be refunded under any circumstances. If you are booking within 12 weeks of departure, full payment will be required at the time of booking. 

Full Payment: 

If you choose to pay via the deposit option, the remaining balance is due no later than 12 weeks before departure. Failure to make full payment by this deadline may result in the cancellation of your booking without a refund of the deposit. 

Cancellations & Transfers:

Once full payment has been made, refunds will not be offered unless required by law. If you are unable to travel, you may transfer your spot to another person. It is your responsibility to find a replacement, and you must notify us at least 14 days before departure with the replacement’s details. Name changes and transfers may be subject to an admin fee and additional costs, depending on supplier policies (e.g., lift pass or accommodation name changes).

Important: Please note, we have the option to upgrade to a larger size chalet of similar standards if the minimum number of participants reserve. You will be informed of this upgrade accordingly.

If the minimum numbers are not met, the chalet may be shared with other non-club occupants. This is dependant on the whether the provider decides to fill the spaces. 

Chalet Perce Neige is in an excellent ski-in, ski-out location in the unique traffic-free resort of Avoriaz. Close to the resort centre, with easy access to all bars, restaurants and shops, Chalet Perce Neige is a traditional, quaint semi-detached wooden chalet with 5 bedrooms across 2 floors, open plan living area and sauna.

The chalet has a modern style with lots of savoir chalet charm. The open-plan living/dining means there's room for socialising on your chalet holiday and gives a warm and cosy ambience while watching the horse-drawn sleigh taxis trot past. 

The cosy bedrooms are decorated with traditional wooden style furnishings to create a classic chalet feel. All have twin beds that can be be made up as doubles; please request at booking.  All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, 3 rooms have separate shared wc’s. The heat adjustable wooden sauna with adjacent shower is perfect for relaxing in and rejuvenating tired muscles! The Ski & Boot room offers boot warmers. Members of the chalet team live in the 2 rooms on the lower ground floor.

The traffic-free resort centre with shops, restaurants, cafes and the exhilarating Aquariaz water park is just a few minutes away from the chalet.  

A snowcat resort taxi on arrival and departure in Avoriaz is included. This is a fun ride in a piste basher style vehicle, saving a 5 minute walk across snow from the Avoriaz Welcome Station (airport transfer drop off point and car park) to the chalet door, or you can take a magical horse and sleigh resort taxi (payable locally).  

Chalet Perce Neige is a catered chalet with a Classic chalet board which consists of a continental and a cooked option breakfast, delicious afternoon tea and cake and a 3-course evening meal with drinks included, all provided by your friendly host who lives in the chalet on the lower ground floor. 

Please note the chalet staff have 2 days off a week, a Wednesday and a Saturday. On these days they will leave a continental only breakfast and afternoon tea out for you, but the evening meal is not provided, which gives you an opportunity to dine out in the resort, where there are plenty of lovely local restaurants.

No pets are allowed in this chalet. We are sorry but the chalet is not suitable for wheelchair access. Host lives in.

Chalet Lauzes is a ski-in, ski-out traditional, quaint, stand-alone wooden chalet, close to the resort center of Avoriaz. The chalet has 4 bedrooms across 2 floors and allows you to ski to and from the door and enjoy après-ski bars just minutes away.

Inside its chocolate box exterior, this chalet is traditional in style. The open-plan living/dining area and kitchen means there is room for socialising together on your chalet holiday and provides a warm, cosy ambience. This is a lovely chalet, ideal for a group of friends or families.

The rooms are decorated with traditional wooden style furnishings to create a classic chalet feel. The chalet offers 3 twin/doubles and 1 twin  bedroom.  All bedrooms have either en-suite or dedicated, separate bathrooms. The heat adjustable wooden sauna with adjacent shower is perfect for relaxing in and rejuvenating tired muscles! The Ski & Boot room offers boot warmers.

On arrival day 

Your mini-bus transfer from the airport will drop you at the Avoriaz Welcome Station.

Also included in your chalet holiday with us is a snowcat resort taxi, to get you to and from the chalet door. This is a fun ride in a piste basher style vehicle, saving a 10-minute walk across snow from the Avoriaz Welcome Station, or you can take a magical horse and sleigh resort taxi (payable locally).

You may arrive at Chalet Perce Neige anytime from 09:30 to change, leave your bags and go skiing. Your bedroom will be ready by 17:00 at the latest but normally earlier.

Late Arrival Supplement  

If you are scheduled to arrive at the chalet after 21:30 we will book a host to return to work to let you into the chalet, show you to your room, provide you with information to ensure your ski time is not delayed the next day and to provide you with a light supper. Dinner is usually at 7:30. There is a small supplement for late arrivals.

On your departure day

Bedroom checkout is 09:00 but we know that you may want to ski until the last minute, so we ensure that there is somewhere for you to leave your bags and change up until 5pm. Where possible a shower is made available for you to use too; this cannot be guaranteed until your departure day.

Please note that on guest changeover days, between the hours of 09:30 and 17:00, both departing and arriving guests will be sharing the chalet public areas.
