About your trip

Enjoy the season in beautiful Zanzibar. Visit one of the many mosques for taraweeh and feel at home while breaking your fast with a local family. Spend the first day of Eid going to Eid Prayer and taking part in the festivities like a Zanzibari and have a special Eid dinner. While still in a festive mood, get a taste of what Zanzibar has to offer of beautiful scenery and people, wildlife and history.

Arrival

Welcome to Zanzibar! Transfer to hotel in Stone Town, Zanzibar. Settle in and relax. Today you're in for a treat, iftar with a local family. In the evening, you have the option to visit a local mosque for taraweeh prayers.

Day 2

Last Day of Ramadan or First Day of Eid

If today is Eid, experience Eid Prayer and enjoy the festivities all around. If not, in the evening, you will have another local iftar. Visit Forodhani Night Market.

Eid Celebrations or Nakupenda Sanbank

If Eid - Eid Prayer and Eid Dinner

If Eid is March 30, Nakupenda w/ lunch

Mnemba Island

Have breakfast at the hotel. Transfer for Mnemba Island Tour. Today you have the chance to swim with dolphins and snorkel. On the boat enjoy delicious, fresh fruits. The tour ends with lunch before transferring back to your hotel. The rest of the day you are free to do whatever you wish.

City Tour & Prison Island Tour

Learn about the history of Stone Town and Zanzibar as you navigate the narrow alleyways on this walking city tour. Stop at the Darajani Market where you can find all kinds of things like spices, fresh locally-grown fruits and vegetables, and more. You'll likely want to visit the market again. Later, board a boat for a short trip to Prison Island aka Turtle Island. Here you will learn even more history as well as meet the turtles that call the island home. You may also see other wildlife if you're so lucky.

Mikumi National Park

Today you'll board a flight to Dar Es Salam for a safari experience at Mikumi National Park.

Free Day

After a full day the previous day at Mikumi, today is yours to relax, explore more of Stone Town, or choose an optional activity such as Safari Blue, Village/Beach Horseback Riding, and more. We are happy to assist you with booking tours and transfers.

Day 8

Nakupenda and Sunset Cruise

Today is the last day of included activities for the trip. Depending on when Eid is, in the morning you may visit Nakupenda and in the evening have a dhow sunset cruise which is a lovely experience everyone is sure to enjoy. 

Day 9

Departure

Have breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport for onward travel. If your flight is late, bags can be stored at the hotel while you do last minute shopping or say goodbye to Stone Town.
