El Salvador & Paraguay Mission Trip

Join Samaritan’s Feet for a unique two-country mission experience in El Salvador and Paraguay, serving alongside local ministry partners to provide shoes, encouragement, and hope to children and communities while experiencing the cultures of two incredible countries.

El Salvador

In El Salvador, the team will serve alongside Samaritan’s Feet El Salvador, led by David Cruz, who has more than 20 years of experience ministering to young people and leaders through schools, universities, sports programs, and community outreach.

Volunteers will participate in shoe distributions at public schools and underserved communities, including communities around the Jaltepeque Estuary. The team may also assist with improvement projects at churches or schools, connect with young people through soccer and basketball, and participate in outreach to public school or university students.

Along the way, the team will experience the local culture through church, historical sites, team fellowship, and an excursion that includes visiting the ancient Mayan Ruins.

Paraguay

In Paraguay, the team will serve alongside Samaritan’s Feet Paraguay, led by Hugo Alcaraz, who has served in ministry for nearly two decades and has served with Samaritan’s Feet for several years.

The team will begin in Asunción, participating in shoe distributions and serving alongside the local Samaritan’s Feet team before traveling into the Paraguayan Chaco and Filadelfia. Across the two regions, the planned distributions will provide approximately 1,000 pairs of shoes to children and communities.

Volunteers will also have opportunities to experience Paraguay’s history and culture through visits to sites such as the Palace of López, the city of Filadelfia, and the Mennonite Colonization Museum, learning more about the unique history and development of the Paraguayan Chaco.

Throughout both countries, devotions, prayer, fellowship, service, and relationship-building will be central to the experience. This trip offers volunteers the opportunity to step into two distinct cultures, serve alongside local leaders, and see firsthand how a simple pair of shoes can open the door to connection, dignity, and hope.

Wanda McGee

I love meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and finding opportunities to serve others. For me, missions are an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to show others through both our words and actions just how deeply God loves and cares for His people.

I believe God calls each of us to use the gifts He has given us to humbly serve and love one another. Missions give us the opportunity to introduce others to Jesus, trust in His provision, and watch Him meet people exactly where they are.

One of my greatest joys in leading is experiencing the journey alongside my teammates—watching them encounter new people, step outside their comfort zones, and witness moments of God’s grace firsthand. Seeing those moments through their eyes is something I never get tired of.

El Salvador Samaritans Feet

I have had the privilege of serving young people and the leaders who support them for more than 22 years. Throughout that time, I have ministered in a variety of settings, including public schools, universities, and sports programs.

For the past year, I have served as the Director of Samaritan’s Feet El Salvador, where we are working to grow and strengthen our ministry and expand the services we are able to provide throughout the country.

We are also grateful to partner with several organizations serving seniors, medical professionals, and other communities across El Salvador. Through these relationships, our hope is to continue creating meaningful opportunities to serve others, build lasting connections, and share God’s love with those around us.

My name is Hugo Alcaraz, and I am from Ciudad del Este, Paraguay. I am blessed to be married to my wife, Kenia Agüero, and together we have four sons: Samir, Adael, Emmanuel, and Abimael.

I have had the privilege of serving the Lord since I was 17 years old, including 19 years of ministry with Zoe Church. Today, I am honored to serve as the President of Samaritan’s Feet Paraguay, where I have been part of the Samaritan’s Feet ministry for the past four years.

Serving others and sharing the love of Jesus has been an important part of my life, and I am grateful for every opportunity to continue making a difference in communities throughout Paraguay.
