NOTE ON AMERICANS COMING TO CUBA:
If an American is interested in coming to a retreat in Cuba, there is the risk of the US implementing a new ban and or devising a new policy that could potentially restrict Americans from entering Cuba. Thus, the only risk affecting Americans is the potential for a travel ban that restricts US citizens from travel to Cuba.
However, this was supposed to happen Sept 15, 2017. As it has yet to happen, many believe it will not happen this year. That being said, Americans are still more than welcome and, as of now, legally permitted to enter Cuba. Thus, US citizens are able to travel to Cuba given Mhai Yoga provides the student with all neccessary paperwork required to enter the country, as we have been doing so for the past five years.
In the event that a policy does come out before the retreat date, in this case December 2, 2017, we will provide a full refund to the student. To confirm, there is no present legal nor fiscal repercussion if a US citizen enters Cuba.
Rivkah Rachel and Eduardo Pimentel will be guiding you through various classes. Rivkah is a fun and flow based teacher, Eduardo is a student of BKS Iyengar. Classes will range from Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and Iyengar.
Suitable for all levels, these moving meditation classes will challenge each student to go beyond where they have been before, in a safe, authentic environment that encourages questions, smiles and laughter.
We also have a chance to have a group class with some of Eduardo’s students here in Havana! Whether you have been practicing for a decade, or have never stepped on the mat, you will find your place within our Cuba yoga family!
It is recommended that you have participated in at least a few classes before coming on retreat.
