About this trip

Develop and celebrate community that can support you through the challenges of life's transitions through glamping, kayaking, laughter and more!

About this trip

Our Women’s Journey Retreat, "Embracing Transitions" is designed for women facing any of life's transitions who could benefit from some recreational R&R with a sprinkle of guided personal focus. Connect with a sense of awe and expand your internal resources and community support among the tall trees and ocean in the Pacific Northwest.

Our retreat location is truly stunning (https://www.chevychasebeachcabins.com/theproperty). We stay in small cabins overlooking Puget Sound just outside of Port Townsend, WA.  This property includes a long, private sandy beach as well as a heated pool; and the quaint, historical community of Port Townsend is not to be missed!

This trip offers a combination of personal and group experiences, guided and organic conversations, and time on land as well as water.  We provide opportunities to explore the area (hike, kayak, and time to town) as well as ourselves. Kelly and Hilary are both licensed clinicians with over 35  years of combined experience and excellent resources; each day will focus on a theme including using nutrition to balance hormones, alleviating worry and resentments, and honoring grief.  Each day we will provide tips and resources to increase our physical, emotional, and relational health.

Who we are:

Hilary and Kelly are seasoned professionals as well as good friends.  We both have an extensive history of supporting individuals and families through transitional times, and have each worked as program administrators for therapeutic organizations.  We are good at what we do, and we are even better together!  We share ideas and energy; we learn from each other and laugh often.

Our trips are fun as well as meaningful. We travel through amazing locations that bring a sense of wonder and awe, and work with incredible people who continue to expand our RCR community.

Even though we are therapists, we don't "do therapy" on our retreats, but rather let the experience itself be therapeutic.  Nature, community, and laughter are healing; we augment the process via intentional activity and conversation. We utilize experiential activities as well as ritual, and provide tangible skills with which to return home.

Our Women’s Journey Retreat, "Embracing Transitions" is a retreat for soul-seekers who long for a deeper connection with themselves, other women, and the restorative power of nature. We invite participants to explore their internal world through movement, meditation, and reflective journaling; we will connect with each other through shared activities, intentional conversations, and playful laughter.  This is a time of reprieve and rejuvenation to upgrade our energy for a return to our worlds at home.

Individual / group calls will be available prior to and upon completion of this trip to aid with integration and continued community-building. This expedition is for women who are facing, or have faced an important life transition including loss of a relationship or role in life, or the physical and emotional challenges that come with aging.  Find your people and reinvigorate your strength; join us for an incredible adventure filled with purpose, connection, and - as always - fun!!!
