Atholl Palace Hotel, Pitlochry

Originally opened in Victorian times, the Atholl Palace Hotel retains many features of a traditional large country house, with relaxing public areas. The hotel is located in spacious gardens and is within a 15-minute walk of the town of Pitlochry.

Some guests may prefer to arrive into London and explore on your own then take the train to meet in Glasgow. London makes an affordable arrival departure point if you have time to take the train north to Glasgow. Flights also arrive into Glasgow and Edinburgh. Cheap flights are available in the UK between England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Day trip to visit Stonehenge

Pitlochry is one of Scotland's most beautiful and vibrant places to visit. In the heart of Scotland with real hospitality, clear sparkling air, beautiful scenery, rich clan history, fine food, plenty of space and lots to see and do.

Pick up at your hotel and begin your drive north to Inverness stopping at suggested sights along the way

Day in Inverness exploring on foot or with private driver - boat trip on Loch Ness (needs to be booked in advance)

Driver guide departs Inverness for Edinburgh. Time permitting will see if a Reindeer stop is possible in the highlands. Say goodbye to your driver guide and Explore Edinburgh on your own to compare and contrast the wide streets and elegant mansions of the Georgian 200-year-old “New Town” with the narrow lanes and medieval townhouses along the Royal Mile, the oldest part of the city. Tour the imposing Edinburgh Castle with its splendid views of the city. Castle on your own
