About your trip

Enliven your Spirit through movement, music, art and community! Get in touch with all that fills you with joy and awakens the parts of you that want to come out and play!  We will eat healthy and delicious food, take a wide range of classes from Pilates to energy balancing, and have the option to hike the over 650 acres of protected watershed at Bell Valley or just relax in the hot tub under the stars.  Plus there are great optional excursions to nearby wine tasting and hot springs.   This retreat is over Veteran's Day weekend so we will be staying Friday evening through Monday at noon.

Pilates is for everyone

All levels are welcome to attend this retreat. I have worked with many types of movers along the way, and can modify or intensify a workout for everyone based on their specific needs.  In addition, all of the classes offered are optional to attend.  

Other class offerings

In addition to Pilates, there will be classes in meditation, chakra balancing, intuitive discovery, dance and art. These classes will be taught by myself, and Paul Bogle.  Paul will also be offering individual astrological readings. These require you to know your date and time of birth as well as the location.  

What's included

2 Pilates classes a day

One morning class to energize the body and one in the evening to release stress and feel at ease in our bodies. In addition to these classes Amy will offer movement explorations throughout the weekend

Meals made with love

There will be a light breakfast, a buffet lunch that can be taken on the go for picnics or outings, and a delicious and healthy dinner prepared by Bassamat Bahnasy served for all to enjoy together.

Hiking

Bell Valley has numerous trails to explore on their 650 acre property and one even leads to a swimming pond!

Acommodations

Whether you choose a single, double or triple, all rooms are beautifully set up and the beds are supremely comfy!

Additional classes

Mindfulness and creative expression classes designed to help you get in touch with your intuition, reduce stress, and have fun!

Pilates and Art Supplies

You are encouraged to bring a foam roller if you own one, but other than that we have everything you'll need including mats, balls, blankets and bolsters.

Hot tub

Time to yourself

I know, it's rare, but if you'd like time to yourself on this retreat, there are many places to sit and relax with a beautiful view.

What's not included

Transportation

You will need to drive or carpool the (not quite) 3 hours from the Bay Area. Please let me know if you would like help finding a ride.

Excursions

There will be time in the afternoons to explore the nearby area, which includes wineries, farms tours, hot springs and more...

Private Pilates sessions

Pilates can be tailored to every body. To find out more about what yours might need, sign up for a reduced cost Private session with Amy. Spaces are limited.

Astrology Reading

Paul Bogle is a renowned Astrologer in the Bay Area, and is offering Astrological or Tarot readings for a reduced cost. Please bring your exact time of birth with you for your astrology reading.

Arrival Day

We aim to arrive by 5pm on this first evening so that everyone can settle into their rooms and enjoy a nice dinner together.  After dinner we will have a little gathering around the fire and get to know each other and go over the options for the weekend.  

Days 2 and 3

Let's have fun!

The days will begin with a light self serve breakfast in your accommodations' kitchen followed by morning Meditaion.

Pilates class will follow in the Yurt and then there will be free time to have a private session with either Amy, Paul or Susan, go for a hike, or just rest.  Around noon a buffet lunch will be set out at the Toll House and can be eaten as a picnic wherever you decide to be.  After lunch there are many options; hiking, group classes, or take a trip to the local wineries or hot springs! We will have another Pilates class to unwind before dinner, and then a delicious and healthy meal prepared by Bassamat in the Toll House dinning room.  After dinner we will have time for stories and games around the fire,  or a soak in the hot tub.  All of these classes and offerings are optional, but we encourage you to attend as many as you can!

Saying goodbye is hard!

On this last day, check out is at 11am, so we will still have time for breakfast,, and one final Pilates class.  A buffet lunch can be made to go or eaten before you hit the road. We hope you come away with happy memories to help you "Enliven the spirit" all year long!

About your organizer

Amy’s studies in movement started at a young age when she fell in love with dance. She received her BFA in Dance from the University of Arizona and then moved to NYC to dance professionally. During her years following school she also studied Martial Arts, Body Mind Centering and Yoga. As a professional dancer and teacher, Amy often found that her body was in pain, and desired more education and tools to help keep her injury free. Pilates was the obvious choice and since 2009 Amy’s been sharing her knowledge with all kinds of movers.
