About this trip

Explore the Bay of Fires, over four fantastic days we walk 55km along stunning beaches sightseeing as we go. Enjoy this trip without having to carry a full pack, we will be carrying day packs only, with our luggage transferred to our accommodation.

Enjoy spectacular beaches interspersed with boulders covered in bright orange lichen, and take the opportunity to swim in the crystal-clear waters of Tasmania’s East Coast.

This itinerary incorporates some of the state’s most stunning coastal scenery, and is almost exclusively beach walking. Along the way we pass over the occasional granite headland, featuring shapely rock formations – whilst zigzagging our way through native heath country on the lookout for local fauna.

Trip Provider: We will be using ParkTrek as our trip provider for this event.

WHAT IS ESCAPING YOUR COMFORT ZONE BODY POSITIVE ADVENTURES?

This is a body positive, slow paced trip, hosted by Richelle at Escaping Your Comfort Zone.

Escaping Your Comfort Zone is Body Positive Adventures for women and non-binary crew. The outdoors don't care about your size, your speed or your fitness, and neither do we! 100% body positive, no focus on weightloss. Just having fun in the outdoors, cause we can! As always, we walk at the pace of the slowest person, and no one is left behind.

Hike Leader: Jess  Mob. 0433 301 763  I will meet you in the Launceston Airport near baggage collection / hire car area. I will be wearing some form of EYCZ merch.

Hike Rating: More Challenging  (refer to Hike Ratings for details)

  • Please note as this is a multi day hiking event, you will have had to complete at least two MC walks with EYCZ to be able to attend.
  • Whilst the pace of the walk will be slow & steady the rating is MC due to the distance each day.
  • This hike is on wide, well-formed, marked trails, mostly flat, with some undulations.
  • The trails may be compacted , sand or dirt, may be some small obstacles.
  • We will walk for 4- 6hrs in total, with tons of drink and breather stops.
  • The daily amount of kilometres is between 12-14km. Total distance is 55kms.

Please contact Jess if you have any specific questions or concerns!

Please ensure you read this document before RSVP-ing. https://www.escapingyourcomfortzone.com/read-this-first (these are the standard EYCZ Code of Conduct and Acknowledgement of Risk documents)
