Kultured Travels introduces the Haiti Discovery Tour. Five days filled with adventures, learning, discovery and exploration. From sailing away to hidden islands to climbing the famous Citadelle, the discovery experience brings out the side of Haiti that you've never seen before. The tour includes an opportunity to experience adventure, friendship, beach life and culture. The Discovery Tour includes 5 star accommodations, many EXCURSIONS, and much more. FLIGHT

Please book your flight to Cap-Haitien, Haiti (CAP) airport be sure to arrive by 4pm first day of the trip.

1) There are only 2 airlines that have direct flights to Cap-Haitien, American Airlines (departs from Miami) and Spirit Airlines (depart from Fort-Lauderdale).

2) The third option would be to fly to Port-au-Prince and take a local flight with Sunrise Airways to Cap-Haitien. But keep in mind that the local flight from Port-au-Prince to Cap-Haitien, departs from a small local airport ( Guy Malary Airport) located next to the international PAP airport. So you will need to get out of the PAP airport take a cab to Guy Malary airport to board your local flight with Sunrise Airways.

GENERAL INFO

Rooms are double occupancy with 2 beds (unless selected otherwise). If you don't already have a roommate, you will be paired with one. Your water pressure might not be like what you're used to, BRING POTENT INSECT REPELLENT and leave all first-world expectations behind and you will have a fabulous time!

All activities and meals are done as a group, choosing to opt-out of an activity or group dinner, you automatically become responsible for your own expenses.

TIPS AND GRATUITIES

Please budget $100 to leave as tips, which will be collected at the welcome dinner on day one. Keep in mind that the people on the groundwork very hard to make your experience unforgettable. All gratuity funds will be collected after guided tours and at the end of the trip.

FOOD

Please understand that we will be in Haiti and we will be consuming Haitian food and breakfast will not be your typical American breakfast. Also, Haitian dishes are highly seasoned with various herbs and spices and may be considered spicy for some. Please mention all known allergies when booking your package.

WARNING

This trip involves strenuous activities that may be difficult for some, (climbing to the Citadelle, climbing stairs, getting in and out of boats and walking, and much more). Please decide and plan accordingly. We are riding horses to the Citadelle, but if you do not want your horse, hiking is the alternative.

Mesmerizing day at the Citadelle
Upon enjoying our complimentary breakfast, we will hit the road and head to the Citadelle Laferrière, one of the largest fortresses in the Americas. Designated by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, the Citadelle will be unlike any forts you’ve ever seen, prepare yourself because you will be in for a treat. Given the location of the Citadelle, we will be horseback riding our way through this mountaintop wonder. Enjoy the natural surroundings, and beautiful panoramas. Nature lovers have plenty of time to take in the sights. When we return from the Citadelle we will then head to Palais Sans Soucis, explore a rum distillery and many more. Explore the downtown Cap-Haitien and absorb all that this beautiful city has to offer.

Haiti's Coastline
After enjoying your breakfast, hop into our cultural boats to go visit Haiti's coastline along with some inhabited small islands, enjoy the food and drinks provided on the boat, and get lost in the clear blue warm tropical water. Upon our return from our private yacht getaway, indulge in some more Haiti's mouth-watering gastronomy, and relax like never before. The night is young and there will still be plenty to do, mingle and create long-lasting memories.

This was a great experience for me on this trip. I was able to meet some wonderful people. The host and her assistant Brandon did an awesome job organizing and scheduling the different activities. I enjoyed the cooking class, just because I love eating. The street food was great and I was surprised to not see any flies. lol. I would recommend this company.

Truly enjoyed myself. Lots of great food and wonderful group to travel with. Overall had a great time in Thailand! There were a few things that I was expecting to do as a group based on the promotional pictures and trip description. I was under the impression that we were going to a floating market, which I was super excited about. I also thought there was going to be an adult pool party planned for us.. these things didn’t exactly happen but it didn’t spoil my fun. It would have been nice to be made aware of these changes in advance so I could adjust my expectations. But all in all, I had a wonderful time. Thanks!

This was a trip of a lifetime. The attention to detail was phenomenal . I can't think of anything that was left out or anything I would have changed. Dinner at fun local restaurants, travel to daily excursions, and hotel arraingements, I was impressed from day one. I promise once you do a luxury trip like this, you won't ever want to travel any other way. It can be stressful planning a vacation out of the US, but with Kultured travel, there's no stress, you just show up and enjoy the trip. If your thinking about a trip with Kultured Travel, do it!! Book the trip!! It'll be the best thing you do for yourself.

This was my first time traveling with Kultured Travel and I must say that I had a great time. The CEO Sabrina and her staff were responsive to my questions and I found the overall trip to be very organized. The welcome and farewell dinners were on point and provided a new experience for all of us attending the trip. Hotel accommodations at the Four Seasons definitely satisified the luxe aspect of the trip. I don't think I can stay anywhere else now. Tickets for our excursions were purchased in advanced which made our entry process go very smoothly. Out tour guides were amazing and not once did I feel unsafe. We had security with us at every location although the atmosphere was very calm despite unrest in neighboring countries. I absolutely loved my traveling group. Six women, from various states, bonded with little effort which added to the enjoyment of the trip. I want to also add that we had the pleasure of having Sabrina accompany us on this trip. I enjoyed meeting her, learning about her journey to starting Kultured Travels, and just engaging in conversation with her night after night. She was very personable and made sure that we had what we needed and where at the locations we needed to be at on time. I highly recommend traveling with this company and am looking forward to my next opportunity to do so.

I recently toured Egypt with Kultured Travels and what an amazing experience it was. From seeing The Great Sphinx and the pyramids of Giza to visiting the great court of King Ramesses II, every place that we visited was awe-inspiring. But what made this tour even more special was the founder of Kultured Travels and our host Sabrina Frederique who made sure that every detail was covered to make our trip as seamless as possible. Upon arriving in Luxor, we met our designated tour guide/expert on ancient Egypt who stayed with us on our 4-day Nile cruise, while giving us the rich history of the ancient and current-day Egyptians. Besides it being a tour of Egypt, it also felt like a masterclass of sorts for travelers going abroad. I learned a whole lot, had the time of my life and will definitely sign-up with Kultured Travels again for another excursion.
