About this trip

An escape in the United Kingdom blending three iconic mountain summits (highest in England, Wales and Scotland!), and unforgettable wild Scottish Highland landscapes

🏔️ Conquer the UK’s National Three peaks — Snowdon in Wales, Scafell Pike in England’s Lake District, and Ben Nevis in Scotland. Trail run or hike or a mix - any speed goes 💪🏼

🥾 Explore the Scottish Highlands — scenic hikes and runs, time on the water searching for wildlife, historic castles, whisky tasting

🌿 Time to unwind between adventures — fresh mountain air, peaceful nature, charming villages and classic countryside pubs along the way. Mind and body wellness is priority 🧘🏻‍♀️

☀️ May is one of the best times to explore England, Wales and Scotland — longer daylight hours, later sunsets, greener landscapes and milder temperatures before peak summer crowds and Scotland’s midge season!

🏡 4* Accommodation for 9 nights — authentic local stays selected for comfort and character

For US travelers, the trip also aligns perfectly with Memorial Day weekend, making it easier to extend your adventure while maximizing vacation time

Days 1-2

Days 1-2 image

Royal Windsor, The Cotswolds & Llangollen

Our adventure begins in Windsor, just a short journey from London's Heathrow Airport. Settle in before joining an optional shake-out run along the banks of the River Thames, or explore the historic town and visit the iconic Windsor Castle. On our first morning, we venture into the picture-postcard villages of the Cotswolds for our first run in the countryside, before crossing into Wales to canoe the Llangollen Canal, gliding across the breathtaking Pontcysyllte Aqueduct — the highest navigable aqueduct in the world.

Day 3

Day 3 image

Peak #1 - Snowdon (Yr Wydffa)

An early start takes us to the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Wales' highest mountain at 1,085 m, and the first of our UK Three Peaks challenge. Our 12km circular route combines runnable trail with steeper hiking sections, with most folks taking between 3 and 6 hours to complete it. At the summit, there's time to refuel with a coffee or snack from the famous mountain café before making your way back down. After a hearty lunch we then rest our legs on a drive to England's Lake District!

Days 4-5

The Lake District & Peak #2 - Scafell Pike

No time to rest those legs—we're back on the trail to conquer Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain at 978 m, and the second peak of our UK Three Peaks challenge. Our 15.3km circular route winds through the spectacular Lake District National Park, with most taking between 4 and 7 hours to complete it. In the afternoon you have time to rest up and explore the vibrant market town of Keswick on the shores of Derwentwater.

Days 5-6

Days 5-6 image

Glencoe & Peak #3 - Ben Nevis

A scenic drive takes us from The Lake District into the Scottish Highlands. Basing in Glencoe for two nights we take in spectacular scenery straight out of films like Skyfall and Harry Potter. One final climb awaits as we take on Ben Nevis, standing 1,345 m above sea level and the highest mountain in the United Kingdom. Our 16km route is the longest of the challenge, with breathtaking Highland scenery accompanying us every step of the way. Most take 5–7 hours to reach the summit and return. If you still have energy there is the chance to rent a stand-up-paddleboard or kayak in the afternoon, or rather just enjoy the views of the loch from our hotel.

Day 7

Day 7 image

Glenfinnan and the gateway to Skye

Today we travel the spectacular West Highland Line or Jacobite Railway from Fort William to Glenfinnan, where you'll set off on a scenic run or hike with breathtaking views of the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct. We hope to time the route perfectly to watch the world-famous Jacobite Steam Train cross the arches before enjoying a BBQ lunch overlooking Loch Shiel. We continue along the stunning Road to the Isles to Mallaig, catch the ferry to the Isle of Skye, and round off the day with a whisky tasting at Talisker Distillery before settling into the colourful harbour town of Portree.

Day 8

Day 8 image

Isle of Skye

After settling into Skye, we'll spend the day exploring the island's breathtaking landscapes. Run or hike to the crystal-clear Fairy Pools, enjoy lunch in colourful Portree, then set out on a wildlife cruise in search of sea eagles, seals, dolphins, and even whales. Round off the day by discovering some of Skye's most iconic sights, including the Fairy Glen, Kilt Rock & Mealt Falls, and the dramatic Old Man of Storr, before enjoying a relaxed evening at your leisure in Portree.

Days 9-10

Days 9-10 image

Loch Ness & depart from Inverness

We cross back to the mainland via the Skye Bridge, stopping to admire the iconic Eilean Donan Castle before enjoying a scenic run or hike along the Caledonian Canal to Fort Augustus. After lunch, cruise the legendary waters of Loch Ness to the dramatic ruins of Urquhart Castle, hearing tales of Nessie along the way. We'll then arrive in Inverness for a final evening together, with time to unwind in the hotel's spa and celebrate an unforgettable adventure across England, Wales, and Scotland.
