ITINERARY

🛬 Day 1 | – Arrival in Cusco and the Sacred Valley

• Airport reception in Cusco

• 🚗 Private transfer to the Sacred Valley of the Incas (Urubamba)

• Free time for acclimatization and rest

• 🏨 Overnight stay: Andean Wings Valley

Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be met by our team for a comfortable private transfer to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The journey gradually descends into a more temperate natural environment, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and Andean communities. This first day is dedicated exclusively to rest and acclimatization, allowing you to enjoy the serenity of the valley, its landscapes, and the hotel facilities without any scheduled activities.

🏛️ Day 2 | – Sacred Valley of the Incas

• Guided tour of the Sacred Valley visiting:

o 🧂 Maras: pre-Incan salt mines

o 🌀 Moray: Incan agricultural experimentation center

o 🧵 Chinchero: Andean textile tradition and architecture

o 🏯 Ollantaytambo: imposing Incan fortress

• 🚗 Return to the hotel

• 🏨 Overnight: Andean Wings Valley

This day will be dedicated to exploring some of the most fascinating sites in the Sacred Valley. You will begin with a visit to Moray, an impressive set of circular terraces used by the Incas as an agricultural laboratory. Next, you will travel to the Maras Salt Mines, where thousands of salt ponds are still being mined using traditional methods dating back to pre-Hispanic times. In Chinchero, you will meet a vibrant Andean community, famous for its textile heritage and its colonial plaza built upon Inca foundations. Finally, you will visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo, one of the most monumental and best-preserved archaeological complexes of the Inca Empire.

🚆 DaY 3 | – Machu Picchu Full Day

• Early departure for the train station

• 🚆 Scenic train journey to Aguas Calientes

• 🚌 Bus ride up to Machu Picchu

• 🗿 Guided tour of the sacred citadel of Machu Picchu

• Free time for photography and exploration

• Return to the Sacred Valley

• 🏨 Overnight stay: Andean Wings Valley

Very early in the morning, the journey to Machu Picchu begins, combining ground transportation with a spectacular train ride through the Urubamba River Valley. After ascending by bus, the group will enter the legendary citadel of Machu Picchu, where a specialized guide will reveal the history, architecture, and spiritual significance of this Andean sanctuary. They will explore its main ceremonial, residential, and agricultural sectors, enjoying iconic views and free time for photographs before beginning the return to the Sacred Valley.

✈️ Day 4 | – Cusco ✈ Puerto Maldonado | Amazon

• 🚗 Transfer to Cusco Airport

• ✈️ Flight to Puerto Maldonado

• Reception and transfer to Sotupa Eco-Lodge

• 🍽️ Lunch

• 🚤 Nighttime boat trip in search of caimans

• 🍽️ Dinner

• 🏡 Overnight stay: Sotupa Eco-Lodge

After transferring to Cusco airport, you will fly to Puerto Maldonado, the gateway to the Peruvian Amazon. From there, you will continue your journey by river transport to Sotupa Eco-Lodge, navigating Amazonian rivers surrounded by lush vegetation. In the evening, you will take a boat tour to observe caimans, a unique experience that allows you to discover the nocturnal wildlife of the rainforest in a completely natural environment.

🌿 Day 5 | – Lake Sandoval

• 🍳 Breakfast

• 🚶 Hike through the jungle to Lake Sandoval

• 🛶 Canoe trip for wildlife viewing

• 🍽️ Lunch at the lodge

• Free afternoon for rest or optional activities

• 🍽️ Dinner

• 🏡 Overnight: Sotupa Eco-Lodge

This day will be dedicated to one of the Amazon's natural gems: Lake Sandoval, located within the Tambopata National Reserve. After a hike through the rainforest, you'll reach the lake for a peaceful canoe trip, ideal for observing wildlife such as giant otters, monkeys, turtles, and a wide variety of birds. The experience offers a profound connection with nature, combining exploration, learning, and moments of contemplation in one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet.

🦜 Day 6 | – Parrot Clay Lick & Departure

• Early departure to the Parrot Clay Lick

• 🐦 Observation of the natural spectacle of Amazonian birds

• 🍳 Breakfast

• 🚤 Return transfer to Puerto Maldonado

• ✈️ Assistance for your departure

Before dawn, you will head to a parrot clay lick, where you can witness one of the most impressive natural spectacles in the Amazon: hundreds of birds gathering to feed on essential minerals. After this experience, you will return to the lodge for breakfast and then begin your return journey by boat to Puerto Maldonado, where you will receive assistance for your departure, thus concluding this trip that blends ancestral culture and vibrant nature.

CANCELLATION POLICIES

Entrance tickets to Machu Picchu and/or the Inca Trail are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
Any cancellation and/or refund request submitted more than fourteen (14) days prior to the start date of the trip will be subject to applicable administrative fees and bank charges.
No changes, cancellations, or refund requests will be accepted within fourteen (14) days prior to the start of the trip.
