      About this trip

If Estonia is known for anything, it’s about being a very digital country. Less is known about its cultural wonders. However, in the civilized world that has lost its roots, Estonia and Estonians are deeply rooted. They are rooted in their land, in their traditions, in their identity. The traditions of doing handicraft, preparing your own food, singing the old songs and telling our grandparents’ stories have never stopped here. And it’s really a miracle.

      Itinerary

      Days 1-2
      PÄRNU

Day 1 - Morning pick up from Tallinn city center. Visit to Haapsalu, a pretty seaside town with wooden houses and impressive castle ruins. In early 1800 it became a spa town and the Russian czars claimed Haapsalu as their summer retreat. Visit the Episcopal Castle, which was renewed for visitors in 2019. A short walk in the city center. Lunch in one of the town’s cute and excellent restaurants/cafes. Drive to Pärnu. Free time and welcome dinner in here

Day 2 - Excursion to the island that is often called the Isle of Women. As no buses are allowed on the island, the tour will be on trucks! Lively women in striped skirts and red patterned headscarves, old grannies clicking their knitting needles, fishermen bustling around in the harbour, melodious chatter in Kihnu dialect, village parties and dances, modern-day interlaced with traditions—visitors will be amazed by all of this. Kihnu Cultural Space is enlisted on the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

We had a great time. The leaders were personable, knowledgeable and always helpful. There was a lot of flexibility in the scheduling, which was nice, so that everyone could decide what they wanted to do - and then share. I highly recommend Sarah as a group leader!

This Japan adventure was just what I needed! The pace was right with sights, excursions, and time to rest and relax. The free time each day was great for exploring the area and checking out things that were of interest to me. Once the trip started, I liked being able to send my luggage ahead and pack a small bag for 2-3 days to our next destination. Sarah did a great job planning places to stay and sights to see, so I felt I had an overall Japanese experience.

We had a wonderful trip traveling with old friends and meeting new ones with a superb guide who knew so much about so many things about Jordan culturally, historically, and geographically. We loved every minute!

We had a fantastic time trying new foods and experiencing new things. I always felt comfortable and taken care of by our guides. Although it was terribly hot and humid we still had a great time meeting new friends, swimming and snorkeling together. We will definitely go on another Adventures with Sarah tour.

This was an amazing trip! We had a fantastic time. Our local tour leader Muhammad was knowledgeable and hilarious! The hotels were nice and clean. All of the food was amazing. I felt safe the whole time, there were no issues at all. Highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to experience different cultures in a wonderful way.
