Days 1–5 — The Sacred Incwala Festival (Happy Valley Hotel, Ezulwini)
Day 1 – Arrival in Ezulwini (Orientation & Storytelling): Private airport pickup to Ezulwini. Check-in at Happy Valley Hotel. In the evening, we host a welcome briefing with light Swazi dishes and a story-led introduction to Incwala—its meaning, etiquette, and respectful participation.
Day 2 – The Young Boys’ Sacred Journey: Observation day as the nation’s boys collect the sacred shrub for the King. We position at a vantage point that allows quiet, respectful viewing without interference. Photography is allowed only where permitted.
Day 3 – Regiments Gather at the Royal Palace: Witness the regiments assemble in powerful formations, singing and stamping in unison. We observe from designated areas, keeping distance and following marshal instructions.
Day 4 – Sacred Rituals Intensify: The ceremonial rhythm builds with chanting and percussion echoing through the valley. Photography restrictions may apply; we move with guidance from elders.
Day 5 – Day of Reverence (Climax of Incwala): A deeply spiritual day focusing on reflection and reverence for the King-led ceremonies. Evening debrief to contextualize the cultural and spiritual meaning.
Days 6–9 — Culture, Homestay & Big Game
Day 6 – Ezulwini Market & Mantenga Cultural Village: Meet artisans at Ezulwini Market and learn about crafts and daily life. In the afternoon, visit Mantenga Cultural Village — an authentic heritage site beneath Mantenga Falls. Experience traditional Swazi dances, songs, and rituals, guided by performers who explain the meaning of each act. Explore the beehive huts, blacksmith forge, and a short walk to the sacred waterfall where maidens once gathered water for royal rituals.
Day 7 – Swazi Village Homestay (Night 1): Travel to Myxo’s family home in the rural valley — a genuine immersion into local life. Meet his family, neighbours, and community members, share fireside storytelling, and learn about traditional living. Morning walks through fields reveal the peaceful rhythm of rural Eswatini.
Day 8 – Swazi Village Homestay (Night 2): Continue your homestay with hands-on craft activities, friendly visits to nearby homes, and children eager to teach siSwati greetings. By this time, you’ll feel like part of the village family.
Day 9 – Mkhaya (Rhino Focus) → Hlane (Sunset Safari): Explore Mkhaya Game Reserve — home to both black and white rhinos. Learn the differences: the black rhino, shy and solitary; the white rhino, calm and social. Guided drives take you close enough to hear them breathe. Continue to Hlane Royal National Park for a private sunset game drive among lions, elephants, and rhinos.
Days 10–12 — Lubombo Ridge, Highlands & Heritage
Day 10 – Shewula Mountain Camp (Community Highlands): Drive to Shewula for panoramic views of the Lubombo ridge. Guests stay in two cozy rooms while Myxo takes a simple local room. Enjoy village walks and a home-cooked dinner prepared by local women.
Day 11 – Piggs Peak → Malolotja Nature Reserve: Scenic drive through Piggs Peak to Malolotja’s mountain ranges. Drones may be flown in remote zones for exceptional photos. Guests have cabins; Myxo camps nearby. Stop often for photos, stretches, and a relaxed evening braai under the stars.
Day 12 – Ngwenya Glass → Ancient Mine → Mbabane & Mdzimba Sunset → Spaza Evening: Watch artisans craft recycled glass at Ngwenya Glass, visit the ancient mine (over 40,000 years old), and end with live music and food at Spaza Restaurant in Mbabane. Overnight at Mountain View Hotel (2 rooms).
Days 13–17 — Mlilwane, Western Eswatini & Farewell
Day 13 – Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary: Eswatini’s oldest protected park, full of zebra, impala, and wildebeest. Choose cycling, walking, or 4×4 exploration. Every moment offers activity — no sitting around!
Day 14 – Leisure in Mlilwane: Explore cultural museums and the King Sobhuza II Memorial Park for Eswatini’s history. End the day around a storytelling campfire.
Day 15 – Mahamba Gorge Lodge: Drive toward Nhlangano — Myxo’s hometown — and meet his family. Few tourists reach here; expect raw mountain beauty. Arrive at Mahamba Gorge Lodge for a serene evening BBQ with pap, salads, and stars above.
Day 16 – Manzini → The Gorge Hotel (Farewell Evening): Scenic drive through Manzini with a stop at Olive Country Lodge for coffee before reaching The Gorge Hotel. Farewell dinner
Day 17 –After breakfast, Myxo bids you farewell as you continue your journey with your driver — leaving with memories of warmth, laughter, and true Eswatini spirit.
