About this trip

To make you clear, Everest base camp trek must not necessarily be a camping trek. But there are many people who are looking forward to do Everest base camp camping trek. Thus this trekking trip is drafted.

Also, the current situation of pandemic has increased the demand of social distancing. As camping trek are isolated from the rest of the trekking group in busy trekking trail like Everest base camp The demand of camping trek to EBC has been more.

Looking back to the 80s’ trekking to Everest base camp was just camping trek but now there are plenty of options. Interestingly you can trek to Everest in luxury travel mode. This has made Everest base camp a crowded trekking destination – comparing to all over the world.

Camping trek to Everest base camp follows the same trekking route of regular Everest base camp trek. But we stop in different locations where the camping spots are nice and Mountain View is stunning.

Concerning the safety of trekkers, in order to mitigate the risk of pandemic the best idea is to come in contact with less number of people. Camping trek avoids a lot of contacts.

But to be honest with you – we do sleep in the tents but eat in the local restaurants. However, our guides are trained and have learnt our SOP for utmost safety. The tea house and camping sire we choose will avoid the regular crowds.

How does it work?

In Everest base camp camping trek, we sleep in the tents (hence use our camping areas toilets), but we eat in the local restaurants. As most of the camping sites are off of the regular destinations, we skip the crowd.

Trekking to Everest base camp follows the same trekking trail but time we start and stop matters the crowds.

The most amazing experience of Everest base camp camping trek is to spend a night at Everest base camp. The temperature at EBC is negative, when sun goes down. Thus we have warm gears for the night. Nearly none of the Everest base camp trekkers get this experience.

Our trekking guide and the entire team will not come in contact with unnecessary persons to avoid the risk of traveling during COVID. Guides and porters will be provided with tents.

Our trekking guide will take care of your safety under our safety rules as stated under SOP.

Recommendation for EBC camping Trek

Everest base camp has been a tea house trekking destination in Nepal for long period. So our package for camping trek to Everest is for different type of adventure and safety in this situation of pandemic only.

For camping trek – there are no any specific measure you need to consider. But unlike to the tea house trekking trekkers will have to prepare for the cold temperature. As trekking in national park restricts us to use fire wood – the chance of staying by the side of the fire is very little – thus take warmer chemical packs or warm clothes.

However, we will eat in the tea houses – thus staying in the dinning is never a problem. Dinning is the only place where there is heating system in the lodges of Everest trekking route.

But the dinning are crowded places, thus in this pandemic era of Everest trekking – we recommend you to use face masks; wash hands often and sanitize yourself. Trying to avoid contact with other people and contactless conversation are recommended.

However, the tea house we use will be choosing carefully to avoid these busy dining halls. Here will work our expertise of being local trekking agency in Nepal.

Who can do?

Camping trekking can be done by people in any age group who are physically fit and mentally sound. If you are enthusiastic to get to the base camp – our trekking guides will motivates you along the trekking trail and make sure you will get to the base camp in good shape.

Those assigning for Everest base camp camping trek must be adjustable to cold temperature or need to be prepared for it.

Everyone who is thinking of tea house trekking to Everest base camp surely can do Everest base camp camping trek as well. Camping trek to EBC is just the matter of less contact in this pandemic and get different experience of trekking to Everest base camp. The highest mountain of the world

Only those who do Everest base camp camping trek or Everest expedition members do stay at the base camp of Everest.

Do I miss anything from regular EBC trek

No, nothing will be missed.

The chance of looking at starts from the tent is better than inside the rooms.

The rooms in the tea house might be unsafe in this pandemic Everest trekking period. But the camping trek is like a private room for you for the entire trekking adventure in Nepal, Everest base camp.

One thing you might miss like of tea house trek is the noise of people walking in the tea houses – which is not available in the camping, sleep, kidding.
