Itinerary
Day 1:Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour : Kathmandu to Kala Patthar (Flight time: 3-4 hours)
5:30 – 6:30 AM: Preparation and processing to take your scheduled helicopter flight to Everest Base Camp with a landing.
From the hotel, we pick you up and transfer you to the domestic airport of Kathmandu to fly to the Everest base camp via helicopter. At the airport, you complete the formalities and proceed towards the helicopter by the associated vehicle. Then you prepare to fly high to your dream destination.
7:00 – 8:00 AM: Fly to Lukla Airport By Helicopter (2,845m)
Taking off from the Kathmandu airport, the helicopter flies towards the northeast offering the delightful sceneries of the mountain roads, settlements, Rivers, valleys, and forests. In clear weather, the helicopter flight to Lukla from Kathmandu takes 45 minutes. You can see a small runway for the plane and a helicopter stand nearby. Lukla is a gateway for tours and trekking in the Everest region.
8: 00 – 8:15 AM: Helicopter Refueling at Lukla Airport
Arriving at Lukla, you get a 15 minutes break. You may drink tea/coffee at this time as the helicopter refueling process takes place. Lukla is a heavily facilitated town with hotels, restaurants, banks, bakeries, and coffee stations.
8:15 – 8:30 AM: Fly to Kala Patthar via Helicopter (5,550 meters)
After refueling, the helicopter take off from Lukla and fly above the Dudh Koshi valley and the river gorge. If there are more than 3 travelers in a helicopter, a shuttle service is given from Pheriche, an alpine town at an altitude of 4371 meters. During the helicopter ride, you get an opportunity to explore the hidden Lakes and the valley that cannot be explored by walking. In 35 minutes of flying from Lukla, the Helicopter fly above the Everest base camp; enjoy the giant Himalayan boulders of Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Nuptse, and the surrounding peaks from a closer point, and move to Kalapatthar, where the Helicopter lands for about 10-15 minutes.
8:30 – 8:45 AM: Helicopter Lands at Kala Patthar; Explore around Kala Patthar (5,550m)
The Helicopter lands at Kalapatthar, an excellent viewpoint of the Everest Himalayan chain. This part of the everest base camp helicopter trip is the best one. If weather permits; we get luminous views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Nuptse, and many more peaks. You get about 10-15 minutes time to take pictures, explore the scenery and enjoy the precious moment in the lap of everest region. It may not sound natural to spend such a little time, but the time is enough to grab the magical Himalayan sceneries. We need to leave in a short time due to the weather condition and the thin air level.
8:45 – 9:00 AM: Fly to Syangboche via Helicopter (Everest View Hotel) (3,950m)
Exploring the splendid Everest Himalayan range from Kalapatthar, the Helicopter take off and fly for 15 minutes to Syangboche, near the Everest View Hotel. The guide will accompany you on the tour that introduces you to the peaks, Lakes, and places that you can see from the helicopter. Arriving at the highest located mountain five-star category hotel, you can welcome your appetite. Let's have breakfast at the exclusive Himalayan viewpoint.
9:00 – 9:30 AM: Breakfast Time at Everest View Hotel
Everest View Hotel is an incredible location to have breakfast and enjoy the charismatic Himalayan wonders of the Everest chain. This moment is also one of the major highlight of Everest Base Camp helicopter tour. The surrounding landscape, evergreen forests, and rhododendron woods look great. The yummy breakfast at 3800 meters offers a unique and splendid experience in such an exquisite location. We stop at the hotel for half an hour to have breakfast. The Helicopter also gets some rest time.
9:30 – 10:00 AM: Fly to Lukla via Helicopter and Refueling of Helicopter
After a delightful breakfast at the Everest View Hotel, the Helicopter takes you back to Lukla and stop for 15 minutes for the refueling process. The refueling process of the helicopter takes some time. It's an exclusive moment to take a quick gaze at this bustling town.
10:00 – 11:00 AM: Fly back to Kathmandu via Helicopter
We get back from the tiny airstrip of Lukla to Kathmandu after about 45 minutes helicopter ride. Landing at the airport, our airport representative receives you and transfers you to your hotel. An amazing Everest Base Camp Helicopter tour concludes here.
