Mountain Flight to EBC

 

1. Kathmandu to Lukla Airport: 45-minute ride (fueling time is 10-15 minutes)

2. Lukla to Kala Patthar: 25 minutes (landing time is 10-15 minutes)

3. Kala Patthar to Syangboche (Everest View Hotel): 12 minutes (landing time is 45 minutes for breakfast)

4. Syangboche to Lukla to Kathmandu: 1 hour 20 minutes

The whole trip (odyssey!) was fantastic. Every stage right on schedule. Our pilot Captain Prakesh was super professional, informative, helpful and a wonderful pilot. The loop above the Icefall & Western Cwm and back to Kala Patthar was absolutely sensational. Luckily the weather was perfect. The stops at Lukla, Periche, Kala Patthar & Everest View Hotel were fun. The flight across the glacier & down the valleys was an experience of a lifetime. Extremely well done!!

Everything was on time and the trip was exactly as described in the brochure. Highly recommended & highly complimentary to the trek we did earlier. Kala Pattar is quite high and though I didn’t need it, oxygen was available on the helicopter.
