Drive to Ramechhap: 4 to 5 hours (only in peak season)

Flight: Ramechhap to Lukla (2,860 m / 9,383 ft)

Trek to Phakding (2,610 m / 8,563 ft) – 3 to 4 hours

During peak trekking seasons (spring and autumn), all Lukla flights operate from Ramechhap Airport, about a 4–5 hour drive from Kathmandu. After the scenic flight to Lukla, begin your trek along the Dudh Koshi River toward Phakding.

Optional: Direct helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is available for an extra cost, offering a quicker and more comfortable alternative.

Trek distance: 6-7 hours

Start your trek through pine forests, cross several suspension bridges, and pass Monjo the entry point of Sagarmatha National Park. The final uphill climb to Namche is challenging but offers the first views of Everest on a clear day.

Namche Bazaar: 3,440 m / 11,286 ft

A full rest day to help your body adjust to the altitude. Take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel (3,880 m) for stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Explore the Sherpa Museum and Namche's vibrant marketplace.

Overnight: Teahouse in Namche

Trek distance: 5-6 hours

Walk on a scenic trail with breathtaking views of Everest and the surrounding peaks. After crossing the Dudh Koshi River, ascend through rhododendron forests to reach the spiritual village of Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery.

Tengboche: 3,867 m / 12,687 ft

Trek distance: 5-6 hours

Descend through forests to Debuche, cross a suspension bridge, and continue past Pangboche. As you ascend, trees thin out and the landscape becomes more alpine. Reach Dingboche, a peaceful village with stunning mountain views.

Dingboche: 4,410 m / 14,468 ft

A second acclimatization day. You can hike up to Nangkartshang Hill (5,083 m) for panoramic views of Makalu, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse. This helps prepare your body for the higher altitudes ahead.

Overnight: Teahouse in Dingboche

Trek distance: 5-6 hours

Ascend gently to Duglha, then climb a steep ridge filled with memorials for lost climbers. Continue along the glacial moraine with majestic views of Nuptse and Pumori before reaching the small settlement of Lobuche.

Lobuche: 4,940 m / 16,207 ft

Lobuche to Gorak Shep: (5,164 m / 16,942 ft) – 3 hours

Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp(5,364 m / 17,598 ft) – 2-3 hours round trip

Walk along the Khumbu Glacier to Gorak Shep. After lunch, continue your trek to Everest Base Camp. Celebrate your achievement with incredible views of the Khumbu Icefall before returning to Gorak Shep.

Early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5,545 m / 18,192 ft)

Trek down to Pheriche (4,371 m / 14,340 ft): 6 to 7 hours total

Start early to climb Kala Patthar for sunrise views of Everest and the surrounding peaks. Afterward, descend to Pheriche, a beautiful high-altitude village.

Trek distance: 6–7 hours

Descend through alpine terrain, crossing rivers and forests, retracing your path to Namche. Enjoy hot showers and a cozy teahouse stay.

Namche Bazaar: 3,440 m / 11,286 ft

Trek distance: 6-7 hours

Follow the Dudh Koshi River through forests and traditional villages back to Lukla. It’s your last trekking day—celebrate with your guide and porter team.

Lukla: 2,860 m / 9,383 ft

Flight: Lukla to Ramechhap: 20 minutes

Drive to Kathmandu: 4 to 5 hours

After breakfast, take an early morning flight from Lukla to Ramechhap. During the peak trekking seasons (spring and autumn), all Lukla flights operate from Ramechhap Airport. Upon arrival, drive back to Kathmandu and check in to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the city.
