Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu 

Altitude: 1300m

Transfer: By private a/c vehicle

Accommodation: Hotel Moonlight or Tibet

Your adventure begins today. Please be informed, that you might have to face a long queue for immigration clearance and it gets messy during baggage collection. It’s a common scenario due to the lack of proper infrastructure and the high volume of tourists’ inflow during the peak season. However, be assured about the helpful airport staff and friendly Nepali people around you. Our representative will be there to receive/greet you. Just look around to locate our company’s logo at the placard. You will be transferred to hotel. There will be full briefing in the evening. 

Evening, our Guide/Trek leader will meet you at your hotel and then be given a briefing on all relevant aspects of your holiday. This includes all “Do’s and Don’ts” while in Kathmandu and on the trek.  

Day 02: In Kathmandu. Proceed for sightseeing tour

Kathmandu Durbar Square: Surrounded by intricate wood carvings, centuries old rich culture and assortments of temples, Kathmandu Durbar Square holds a spectacular legacy of traditional architecture. This was once the residence of Nepal’s Royal family and all coronation ceremonies held here. The Durbar Square links 3 courtyards, the outer Kasthamandap, Kumari Ghar, and Shiva-Parvati Temple, and the inner section of Hanuman Dhoka- the entrance to the main palace, and to the south is the open area, a former royal elephant stables- they say! Most parts of the premises are open to tourists throughout the week. The Kathmandu Durbar Square held the palaces of the Malla and Shah kings who ruled over the city. Kathmandu Durbar Square is the historic center of Nepal in terms of cultural heritage, sovereignty, economics, religion and pride. The entire square was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. Kumari Ghar is visited with wonderment. This is where the living goddess resides. A girl belonging to Buddhist family is chosen through an ancient selection process to become the human incarnation of the Hindu goddess. She also makes public appearances during festivals.

Swayambhunath:One of the oldest Buddhist monuments of the valley, Swayambhu, also called a Monkey Temple, is UNESCO World Heritage site and an iconography for both Buddhist and Hindu. The gleaming white dome soaring atop a hill is capped by a gilded spire painted with the eyes of lord Buddha overlooking the Kathmandu valley in all the directions. The stupa consists of several artifacts, variety of shrines and temples, some dating back to the Licchavi period. Devotees are seen making a ritual circumnavigating of the base of the hill, spinning the prayer wheels.

Boudhanath: This stupa, eight kilometers east of Kathmandu City is one of the biggest in the world of its kind and one of the most imposing landmarks in Kathmandu. It stands with four pairs of eyes in the four cardinal direction keeping watch for righteous behavior and human prosperity. This Buddhist stupa was built by King Man Dev at the advice of Goddess Mani Jjogini. It is built on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. The shrine is ringed by houses of Lamas or Buddhist priests. This is also the center of Tibetan Buddhism.

Pashupatinath: Situated 5 Kilometers east of Kathmandu city, Pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest/sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati river, the temple built in pagoda style has gilded roof and richly carved silver doors. Visitors will be permitted to view the temple from the east bank of Rivers Bagmati, entrance in the temple being strictly forbidden to all non-Hindus. Pashupatinath is the center of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February / March. Behind the temples are the cremation grounds. Chronicles indicate the temple existed before 400 A.D.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding

A short and thrilling flight from Katmandu takes you to a mountain airstrip of Lukla, which is also renamed as Tenzing Hillary Airport. Lukla, a small town in the Solukhumbu district is the gateway to Everest. Starting from Lukla, the trail heads towards the northern side along the Dudh Koshi valley. With small settlements in between, the trails offer aesthetic views. Phakding, a small village at an altitude of 2652 m marks the end of the first day. 

Day 04: Trek to Namche

Altitude: 3500m

Trek duration: 5-6hours walk

Heading north from Phakding along the Dudh koshi river the trails takes you through dense and vibrant forest of Rhododendron. After a small village of Jorsale and with the crossing of western fork of the river starts the steep climb up to Namche bazaar. With a gradual climb, if the weather permits, the majestic summit of Everest looms behind the ridge of Lhotse and Nuptse. Another steep climb for about 300 meters takes you to Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar, the administrative and trading center of the Khumbu region and is a famous village of the Sherpa people.

Day 05: In Namche. Day for Acclimatization

Altitude: 3500m

Trek duration: 3-4hours walk

To avoid High altitude sickness, we acclimatize at Namchee Bazaar where we visit the local museum and surrounding villages. Namche host of fancy shops, coffee shops, lodges and tea houses, and is an excellent place to grow used to moving around in the thin air nearly 3500m above sea level. An alternative trek can be walk to Kunde and Khumjung, where you can enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding snow capped giants and the valleys way down below.

Day 06: Trek to Thyangboche

Altitude: 3865m

Trek duration: 6hours walk

All set and acclimatized, we head towards Thyangboche and on your way unfolds the first glimpse of Mt. Everest and adjoining Himalayan Mountains including Nuptse, Lhotse and Amadablam. You will traverse upwards through the rhododendrons forest before finally arriving at the spectacular Thyangboche. A customary visit to the Monastery is a must, where you will witness Buddhist monks, observing daily pujas in their sacred praying section. Be advised that you are not allowed to take picture inside there, but you certainty can outside the Monastery.

Day 07: Trek to Dingboche

Altitude: 4360m

Trek duration: 5-6hours walk

After breakfast, we start a short descent to Debuche, following Imja Khola River, and then climb up to Pangboche which houses the oldest monastery in the Khumbu. Pangboche is a pleasant village with beautiful fields. Ama Dablam seems almost at touching distance and shines with majesty. Following the Imja River, there is a short climb to Somare - a settlement with a few houses. We will trek up the Khumbu Valley past chortens and walls of Mani stones and climb for about 45 minutes to the settlement of Dingboche.

Day 08: In Dingboche. Day for Acclimatization. Hike to Chhukung

Altitude: 4750m

Trek duration: 4-5hours walk

A well deserved break for acclimatization to avoid Altitude Mountain Sickness (AMS). However, you will hike to Chhukung, a small summer settlement and is the staging place for trekkers attempting to summit the Island Peak (6189m). The views from Chhukung are very picturesque with the south face of Lhotse, eastern face of Amadablam and other peaks. This hike will definitely be one of the highlights of the trek.

Day 09: Trek to Lobuche.

Altitude: 4928m

Trek duration: 6-7hours walk

After breakfast we trek North towards Lobuche. On the way you will come across the largest memorials in the Everest region. The memorials is a fitting tribute to all those who lost their lives attempting to summit the world’s highest mountain, Everest. You will also enjoy the spectacular views of Tawache, Ama Dablam and to the north-Pokalde, Kongma-tse Mt. and the great wall of Nuptse

Day 10: Trek to Everest Base Camp [5360m] and back to Gorekshep

Altitude: 5160m

Trek duration: 8hours walk

Today is the day you been waiting for, a walk to remember and cherish it forever. It’s Everest Base Camp day, which is only a few hours away. After breakfast you will trek through a rocky path on the famous Khumbu Glacier. Past that, you will walk into the mother of all base camps in the world. If you are trekking between (March-May), you will find the place buzzing amidst the colorful tent-camps, with seasoned mountaineers, record holders, aspiring record bakers with their activities as commercial expedition to summit Mt. Everest commences. After lunch, we return to Gorekshep for overnight stay.

Day 11: Trek to Kalapatthar [5526m] and back to Pheriche

Altitude: 4370m

Trek duration: 8-9hours walk

If you believed that your walk to Everest base camp was amazing. Hold your excitement, as you will be blown away with the majestic views of Everest from Kalapatthar (Kala Pattar). The view of Everest peak seems within a touching distance between the summit of Mt. Nuptse and Lho-La and Lhotse on the back. You trek early morning with the strenuous climb to reach Kalapatthar (Kala Pattar), a magnificent spot to be on a clear sunny morning, with full view of all the higher snow capped Mountains.

You descend back to Gorak Shep and then all the way back to Lobuche. We trek down to Pheriche, which is an easy trail going mostly downhill all the way passing through the village of Dugla.

Day 12: Trek to Sangnasa

Altitude: 3597m

Trek duration: 6hours walk

Accommodation: Simple lodges

Meals: Breakfast at the lodge

After breakfast you will trek downhill to Pangboche and then pass though Deboche, which offers spectacular views of If you believed that your walk to Everest base camp was amazing. Hold your excitement, as you will be blown away with the majestic views of Everest from Kalapatthar. The view of Everest peak seems Khumbi-la, the revered mountain and protector Goddess of the Sherpas. You will continue to walk towards Tengboche and downhill on the main busy trail with a few steep climbs from the bridge at Phungitenga, near Sangnasa.

Day 13: Trek to Phakding

Altitude: 2652m

Trek duration: 6-7hours walk

Accommodation: Simple lodges

Meals: Breakfast at the lodge

You will gradually start to leave behind the imposing views of Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, Thamserku and other peaks. You trek further down to Khumjung and to Syangboche through a hillside filled with rhododendron and juniper trees, pine forest and spot mountains goats, pheasants and other wild animals and birds, which are common to the area before reaching to Namche Bazaar and continue to finally reach Phakding.

Day 14: Trek to Lukla

Altitude: 2860m

Trek duration: 3hours walk

Accommodation: Simple lodges

Meals: Breakfast at the lodge

After breakfast you will follow the rocky terrain, which is mostly a downhill trek alongside the Dudh Koshi River crossing several suspension bridges, Monasteries and Sherpa Villages before reaching to Lukla. You will unwind yourself, as it will be your last day on the mountains in the calm and peaceful Lukla. 

Day 15: Fly to Kathmandu. Rest of the day is free or at leisure 

Flight duration: 30minutes flight

Accommodation: Hotel Moonlight or Tibet

Meals: Breakfast at the lodge and dinner at the selected local restaurant with Nepali cultural dance show.
