Everest Base Camp with Island peak is a united trip. It is the combines of the trek, peak climb and also a day sightseeing in Kathmandu. We visit Kathmandu (1338m) and fly to the Himalaya for trekking and mountain expedition. After a short but scenic flight, we land at Lukla. Following the footstep of Tenzing-Hillary through Dudh Koshi River and reach to Phakding (2610m). Cross the wondrous highest suspension bridge of Everest and reach Namche Bazaar(3441m).
Namche Bazaar is the central town of the Everest and also the first market of Khumbu region. Exploring the Sherpa museum, learn the history of summiteers Mr. Tenzing Norgey and Sir Edmund Hillary. Additionally, the trek collects the knowledge of Sherpa history, lifestyle, language, culture, and costume. Tengboche is a hill station where the oldest monastery is situated. The monastery is a building that can see from the summit of Mt. Everest (8848m).
Everest Base Camp is one of the prime destinations of this trip. It is the base camp of the world’s highest peak Mt. Everest. It is a pleasure and quite a feat to reach the base camp. We hike up to Kalapathar (5,555m), the most popular viewpoint of Everest. From the top of Kalapathar (5,555m), we can see incredible views of the sunrise over the Himalayas as well as Mt. Everest, and also the Khumbu Glacier and Icefall. The moment of reaching Chhukung (4710m) is the highlight of the trek. It is the trail of Island peak. The summit view of Island peak is incomparable. Himalayas, rivers, lakes, valleys, glaciers, and Sherpa settlement, just down view of Pheriche valley. After a successful climb, you return to Lukla (2840m) via Namche and fly back to Kathmandu. We have dinner at a Nepali restaurant and share our experiences of the trek we completed.
