Just a 20-minute ferry ride from Vancouver, Nectar is nestled in the heart of a lush temperate rainforest on Nexwlélexwm (Bowen Island), the ancestral and unceded territory of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation. This sanctuary continues to be one of our annual retreat destinations for good reason - it feels like an instant homecoming. Together we step away from the busyness of life, and embrace practices that nurture our well-being and uplift our spirit.
This 5-day immersive experience is an invitation to return to yourself. To soften your pace, to listen more closely, and to remember what truly lights you up. As we move through the Evolve programming together, space opens to check back in with your inner world, your joy, and your deeper sense of purpose.
Each morning begins with an Evolve practice that gently sets the tone for the day ahead. Guided by timeless yoga philosophy and wisdom, we explore what it means to embody our practice beyond the mat. Through movement, conscious breath, mudra, mantra, guided journaling, and reflection, the teachings begin to live within us.
The theme of each day flows into every experience, ceremony, and workshop, creating a cohesive journey that unfolds naturally. In the evening, we gather again for Yin, Restorative, or Yoga Nidra, allowing the day to settle into the body and nervous system. These practices invite deep integration and offer space to truly feel what it means to live your yoga.
Each theme builds upon the last, guiding us upward on an intentional path of self discovery, layer by layer, toward the summit that is your most authentic self.
Alongside the depth, there is lightness and play. Expect group hikes, afternoons by the lake, sacred soul circles, and spacious free time to explore Bowen or simply rest and soak in the beauty of Nectar. You will experience hot and cold cycles at MIST Thermal Sanctuary, a Human Design workshop, afternoon Pilates, and moments of connection woven throughout every day.

90 Min. “Magic Morning” Vinyasa flow, weaving yoga philosophy, breathwork, meditation, and journaling around a daily theme + 75 minutes of Yin, Restorative, or Yoga Nidra evening practices.
Every meal is a thoughtfully crafted vegetarian masterpiece, made with locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, and tailored to accommodate all dietary preferences and allergies.
A guest favourite, MIST Thermal Sanctuary offers a spa-like experience with a large sauna overlooking the rainforest, a cold plunge, outdoor shower, firepit, and serene moments to unwind.
Chelsey, a former retreat guest, will guide us through an interactive Human Design workshop, helping us explore our unique energy, strengths, and patterns in a fun and engaging way.
A practice of deep listening to yourself and others through meditation, breathwork, guided group circle sharing, and meaningful partner connection, fostering a profound sense of presence and support.
Surrounded by the towering trees of BC, we’ll embark on a 5km team hike along the stunning Bluewater Reservoir Loop, embracing the beauty of the forest and fresh air every step of the way.
Lake day is always a highlight! Relax on the smooth, sun-warmed rocks and soak in the warmth, or take a refreshing dip in the freshwater lake.
Mikaela will lead a 45-minute afternoon Pilates class (with resistance bands) designed to activate deep muscle groups, synchronize movement with breath, and energize the entire body!
Mikaela will create a WhatsApp group one-two months prior to the retreat to help coordinate communication and carpooling (driving + ferry) for those interested.
Massage appointments will be available during downtime on a first-come, first-served basis, taking place in the cozy spa cabin on the property.

Our signature Evolve practice, blending Vinyasa flow, yoga philosophy, Pranayama breath + energy techniques, meditation, and guided journaling. Each session is thoughtfully designed with a daily theme that weaves through the practice and sets the tone for the rest of the day.
9:00am - 10:00am | Silent Breakfast
Nourish your body and mind in stillness. This silent breakfast creates the space to reflect, be present with your food, and soak in the calm of your surroundings, allowing your morning’s practice to integrate deeper.
10:00am - 12:00pm | Group Experience or Free Time
Depending on the theme of the day, we might gather for a group activity like a forest trail hike or MIST Thermal Sanctuary! Alternatively, this time might be suggested as free time to unwind, walk into town and check out the local shops, or book a relaxing massage, giving you the space to choose what nourishes you most.

We’ll come together for a long-table plated lunch featuring fresh, nourishing food. Chef Billie is a registered nutritionist and creates from the heart!
3:00pm - 5:00pm | Group Experience or Free Time
As the day’s theme guides us, we may explore a variety of activities, including those mentioned above in the 10am time slot, or an afternoon Pilates class, Human Design Workshop, Sacred Soul Circle, or an afternoon in the sunshine by the lake!
5:30pm - 6:30pm | Dinner
We’ll come together for a long-table plated dinner featuring fresh, nourishing food.
7:30pm - 8:45pm | Easeful Evening
Our 75-minute evening practices rotate between Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Yoga Nidra, offering a sacred space to slow down, recharge, and nurture your nervous system. These practices are an invitation to deeply listen, allowing you to integrate the day’s theme and carry its insights with you into the evening.
