Our Tofino Retreat has quickly become a cherished part of the Evolve Retreats calendar. This will be our third time gathering in Tofino, and it’s been such a joy to add this destination to our yearly roundup of retreats and to gather in this stunning, untamed corner of Vancouver Island.
Your host, Mikaela, has called Tofino home for 2.5 years and often speaks of the deeply spiritual and grounding energy this land holds. It’s something you’ll not only feel during your time here, but something that will stay with you long after you leave.
This 5-day immersive experience is truly one of a kind. We spend a lot of time outdoors, soaking in the ocean air, wandering through lush forest trails, surfing in the Pacific, or watching the waves roll in from the beach. Surrounded by the stillness of the inlet, we move through our signature Evolve yoga practices and rituals that invite you inward and into deep self-care. April in Tofino brings fresh energy, longer days, and a sense of renewal that perfectly complements our time together.
You’ll also experience a floating sauna session set right on the water, complete with a peaceful boat ride through the inlet that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding coastline. It’s the perfect balance of adventure, reflection, and restoration.

We’ll be staying at The Shoreline, a cozy venue with charming A-frame cabins overlooking the Clayoquot Sound and surrounding mountains. It might just have the best views in Tofino!

This remote floating sauna sits 30 minutes deep in the inlet, surrounded by mountains. A scenic boat ride, ocean plunges, fireside warmth and recognition in Time’s “World’s Greatest Places of 2022."
Our guest facilitator, Shannon Stewart, will guide us through a heart-opening cacao ceremony, an intentional ritual to connect inward, awaken the senses, and return to the wisdom of the heart.
If we’re in Tofino together, we’re hitting the water to catch waves! Surf Sister’s expert instructors guide fun, supportive group lessons tailored to your skill level for an unforgettable experience.
A 45-minute afternoon Pilates class designed to activate deep muscle groups, synchronize movement with breath, and energize the entire body!
Our venue has a lovely barrel sauna on site with a one person cold plunge for those who wish to enjoy hot/cold cycles during free time. There is also a hot tub overlooking the inlet and mountains!
Transportation is not included, but whether you fly or carpool with other retreaters, we’re happy to help you coordinate your travel plans to make your journey to Tofino as smooth as possible!

Our signature Evolve practice, blending Vinyasa flow, yoga philosohpy, Pranayama breath + energy techniques, meditation, and guided journaling. Each session is thoughtfully designed with a daily theme that weaves through the practice and sets the tone for the rest of the day.
9:00am - 10:00am | Silent Breakfast
Nourish your body and mind in stillness. This silent breakfast creates the space to reflect, be present with your food, and soak in the calm of your surroundings, allowing your morning’s practice to integrate deeper.
10:00am - 12:00pm | Group Experience or Free Time
Depending on the theme of the day, we might gather for a group activity like a beach and forest trail walk or even an offsite adventure like the floating sauna! Alternatively, this time might be suggested as free time to unwind, walk into town and check out the local shops, or book a relaxing massage, giving you the space to choose what nourishes you most.
1:00pm - 2:00pm | Lunch
We’ll come together for a long-table plated lunch featuring fresh, nourishing food. Chef Billie is a registered nutritionist and creates from the heart!
3:00pm - 5:00pm | Group Experience or Free Time
As the day’s theme guides us, we may explore a variety of activities, including those mentioned above in the 10am time slot, or an afternoon Pilates class, a group surf lesson or even a cacao ceremony.
5:30pm - 6:30pm | Dinner
We’ll come together for a long-table plated dinner featuring fresh, nourishing food.
7:30pm - 8:45pm | Easeful Evening
Our 75-minute evening practices rotate between Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Yoga Nidra, offering a sacred space to slow down, recharge, and nurture your nervous system. These practices are an invitation to deeply listen, allowing you to integrate the day’s theme and carry its insights with you into the evening.
