Gobustan - a mountainous area located 55 km far from Baku is a territory where rock carvings of ancient people were discovered.
The first archeological investigation of Gobustan petroglyphs started in early 1939.
The most ancient drawings refer to the Mesolithic period, but it is assumed that life existed here even before.
Before the main excursion, tourists will visit the eponymous interactive museum, where they will be able to get information about the history, flora and fauna of Gobustan by special multimedia and touch screen devices.
