About this trip

De-stress, open and stabilize your body and mind, and connect to your innate freedom and creativity in the idyllic setting of a country estate in Latvia, kicked off by two days in the stunning Art Nouveau capital city of Riga. Pamper yourself with a week in a beautiful storybook mansion with old-world charm, in a verdant setting. Slow your mind and elevate your practice, open and fortify your neck and shoulders, back and hips, with daily heart-centered Anusara® Yoga and progressive meditation, connecting body, mind and spirit. Surrounded by nature's beauty and compassionate and fun-loving people, and guided by highly experienced Yoga and meditation teachers, you will emerge with fresh perspectives and tools for joyful, creative, and resilient everyday living.

Kathrin Rottmann, Anusara-Inspired™ Yoga and Meditation Teacher and E-RYT200, is the founder of yogaraumleverkusen.com. Itinerary

Friday through Sunday we will spend in Riga, exploring the vibrant layered historical streets, from medieval to art nouveau to modern, and soaking in the Baltic culture. Then will reTREAT ourselves to five days of progressively sequenced yoga, meditation and reflection in the 18th century Grasu Pils Mansion surrounded by luscious, sprawling nature, with optional excursions to a nearby lake, Cesvaine Palace, and Medieval Castle Ruins.

The Location

The 18th century Grasu Pils Mansion is a site marked by deep inspiration and caritas. Originally the home of a German Baron, the site was re-imagined in the 1990s as a Children's Village by a Frenchman, following a deeply spiritual experience. To this day, proceeds from the mansion support this local Orphanage.

Suzanne is so full of positive energy! Her nurturing spirit and delightful sense of humor would bring any group together. The venue for the yoga and meditation retreat was serene and spa-like, with gorgeous views of the ocean and nature all around. The weekend was a bounty of restorative and challenging yoga, thoughtful meditation, self-care, and delicious and nourishing food. We are already looking forward to the next one!

Crashing waves, birds chirping, sun shining overhead, beautifully kind people, nourishing food. These are just some highlights of this restful & rejuvenating weekend with Suzanne. The ongoing challenge to slow down & check in with myself will always be there, but Suzanne gave me the key to the portal where I can access myself in blissful states of yoga & meditation. I feel so grateful that I was able to participate in this weekend of wellness that I plan on incorporating these teachings into my everyday practice.
Visiting the Bay Area from Germany for a few weeks I was looking for a special event that would make me trip memorable. I chose Suzanne's yoga retreat. It was wonderful. Great location and venue. A very nice group of people. Just the right size. Delicious meals prepared with love by Suzanne. Good mixture of demanding and relaxing yoga sessions and meditations, Free time for walks on the beach. I am 150% happy!
Suzanne’s retreat was amazing. Lots of varied yoga classes, terrific food & a beautiful location. Two days of yoga bliss!
Such an amazing retreat, both energizing & calming. I loved the breath work - I have always loved nature, the ocean, the cypress trees but with the work we did here together I felt so connected to it in a way that I have never experienced. Breathing with the ocean - I felt like the ocean. Sitting out meditating in the morning at daybreak watching the cypress grove, I felt strong like the trees. Thank you for this amazing retreat. Your wisdom, caring heart, openness, and fun loving spirit has made this an experience I will carry with me in my everyday life. I have so much gratitude for you and for everyone there. - Jen

Suzanne's retreats are very special and I've loved them all! There was a really nice balance of yoga, meditation and time to restore, especially in the beauty of Nature. She's a great teacher, in many ways, and always fun to be around too. One of my favorites for sure! Highly recommended!
