About your trip

A curated 6-day Morocco journey designed for young Muslim travellers who want to experience Islamic heritage, culture, and travel as part of a like-minded group, without the stress of planning it themselves. Most travellers join solo, so you’ll be in good company from the start, with an experience designed to feel social, comfortable, and easy to settle into.

Everything is arranged, from boutique riad stays to private Mercedes air-conditioned transport and guided visits, allowing you to focus on the experience rather than the logistics. Designed for young British Muslim professionals, the trip is ideal for those travelling solo or with a friend who want a well-organised and comfortable journey without the hassle of navigating unfamiliar places.

The journey takes you through Fes, Chefchaouen, Rabat and Marrakech, from the medina of Fes and Jumuah at Qarawiyyin, to the blue streets of Chefchaouen, the coastal capital of Rabat, and the energy of Marrakech. Throughout, the itinerary balances guided experiences with time to explore and enjoy each city at a relaxed pace.

🌙 The Experience

Morocco offers a unique blend of Islamic heritage, architecture, and everyday life, where historic cities remain active and lived-in rather than preserved landmarks. In Fes, you’ll explore one of the oldest centres of learning in the Muslim world, centred around Qarawiyyin and its surrounding medina, with time to take in both its history and atmosphere. The journey then moves through Chefchaouen, offering a slower pace and a completely different setting, before continuing through Rabat and into Marrakech, where the atmosphere shifts from coastal calm to the energy of the medina, palaces, and public squares.

Alongside the guided visits, the experience is shaped by shared moments, from group lunches and relaxed evenings in the medina, to tea spots and optional experiences like watching the Morocco vs Brazil World Cup game together in a local café. Travelling with a small group of young British Muslim professionals, and supported throughout by a native Moroccan group leader, the trip is designed to feel social, comfortable, and easy to settle into from the start.

Throughout, the focus is on a relaxed pace, shared experiences, and a balance between guided visits and free time, allowing you to take in each place properly rather than rushing through it. It’s designed to feel considered, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish.

💫 What Makes This Trip Different

This is not a typical group tour. It is designed around the experience, the group, and the pace.

Curated for a specific group

This trip is built for young British Muslim professionals, many of whom travel solo. The group dynamic is a key part of the experience, bringing together like-minded people in a setting that feels comfortable, social, and easy to settle into from the start.

Small group, better experience

With a limited group size, the pace remains relaxed and flexible. Moving through medinas, sites, and cities is easier, and shared moments, from meals to exploring together, feel more natural than on larger tours.

Boutique stays, central locations

You’ll stay in carefully selected riads in Fes and Marrakech, chosen for their location, comfort, and overall experience. Being based centrally allows for easier access to key sites while maintaining a more authentic stay.

Structured, but not rushed

The itinerary is designed to balance guided visits with free time. Key moments, such as Jumuah in Fes and visits to major sites, are organised, while still allowing space to explore, rest, and enjoy each city without feeling rushed.

Led locally, supported throughout

The group will be accompanied by a native Moroccan group leader, alongside local guides in key cities. This ensures a smoother experience on the ground, with local insight and consistent support throughout the journey.

Delivered by experience

Evliya Travels has hosted multiple group tours with over 110 travellers to date. The itinerary, pacing, and overall experience have been refined through previous trips, with a focus on delivering something that feels well-organised without being rigid.
