Today we will be walking around the city and our first visit will be to the Palace of Holyrood House, the official residence of the King in Scotland. Next we will enjoy a guided Old Town walking tour, including St. Giles’ Cathedral and Greyfriars Kirkyard. After lunch we will explore Edinburgh Castle, including the Crown Jewels. You'll have the evening to enjoy the sights and sounds of the city.

Today our bus picks us up and we will depart Edinburgh for St. Andrews, the historic university town visiting St. Andrews Cathedral ruins, St. Andrews Castle and the Old Course (the home of golf). After exploring St. Andrews and the picturesque fishing villages of East Nuek, we will journey through the Cairngorm National Park on our way to our overnight location in Aviemore.

Today starts with a visit to  Culloden Battlefield, the site of the final Jacobite uprising in 1746. Here you'll learn about the remarkable history of this site and how the outcome changed the Highlands for every. Next we will explore the 4,000 year old Clava Cairns, a Bronze Age burial site and inspiration for Outlander. We will end the day in Inverness where you will get a chance to enjoy the local shops and pubs in the Highland Capital along the River Ness.

This morning we depart Inverness and drive along the banks of one of most famous bodies of water in the world, Loch Ness, where you might even spot its most famous resident “Nessie”. We will pass through Fort William, continuing along the Great Glen Fault south to Fort William for our evening accomdations.

Outside of Fort William we will be passing by Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK.  Our next stop is one of the most breathtaking in Scotland,  the scenic Glencoe Valley. We will make stops to admire its iconic landscapes along the way. This valley is not all about beauty however, as you will also learn about its tragic history, the massacre of Glencoe. We will end our day in the picturesque coastal town of Oban.

Today we enjoy a day trip to the beautiful Isles of Mull, a little under one hour sailing from Oban. Our day will take us northward to the charming town of Tobermory, known for its vibrant, color-drenched houses that ring the peaceful bay. The journey has wonderful views of the mainland across the Sound of Mull and passes through the villages of Salen and Aros. You will then take the ferry back to Oban where you stay this evening

This morning we leave Oban and travel through stunning Highland Perthshire and the serene Glenlyon area—aptly termed “Scotland’s loveliest glen” by Sir Walter Scott. Later, we visit Stirling where Stirling Castle sits proudly on a volcanic crag, one of the most important and historic castles in Scotland. We conclude our journey at the magnificent Kelpies Monument, a tribute to Scotland’s Clydesdale horses.
