As we visit Independence Square, African inspired Cathedral and vibrant markets such as Tilen or Kermel. Feel the unique vibe of city life in Africa!

Next, we visit the Renaissance Monument, a 164-foot statue overlooking Dakar taller than the Statue of Liberty. This monument is an invitation to African decedents in the diaspora to come back to their homeland of Africa. Dinner served at the hotel. The monument symbolizes a call to African descendants throughout the world to come back to their home in Africa.

After breakfast, we depart to " Door of No Return," also known as Goree Island. One of the most widely visited, most cherished sites off the coast of Dakar, preserving the history of Africans held captive before departing to the Americas. Goree Island was the center of the largest slave trade on the West Coast of Africa from the 15th-19th century. Your return represents a reawakening and spiritual connection that will last a lifetime. A remembrance and healing ceremony will take place to honor our ancestors.

After lunch, we return to Dakar to visit the Museum of Black Civilization, a modern museum with historical artifacts from across Africa. Return to the hotel for dinner before attending the grand opening of the Dak'Art Festival, an exhibition from Africa's most influential artist.

Afterward, we will return to the hotel for dinner and prepare for the grand opening of the Dak'Art Festival.

After breakfast, we embark on our journey to St.Louis to enjoy the world-renowned Jazz Festival. En route, we will stop to enjoy lunch in Thies. This city is known for handcrafted baskets, jewelry, and other items made by local artisans. Continue to St.Louis for a late afternoon check-in. Get ready for an exciting evening with dinner and music at the St Louis Jazz Festival. 

 Enjoy a breakfast buffet at your hotel before our departure to explore the city. We will explore local villages engaging with different ethnic groups. We will visit select villages learning about traditions, language, and economic drivers. Return to the hotel with time to refresh, prepare for dinner and the main event at the St. Louis Jazz Festival.  

After breakfast, we depart to Touba, experiencing enchanting architecture and rich history of the Mouride brotherhood. Touba is the only city in West Africa, self-governed, where citizens pay no taxes to the central government. Enjoy the sites and mystic stories of its founder Sheik Ahmadou Bamba. 

After Touba, we continue our journey to Kaolack in preparation for your "Welcome Back to Africa" celebration. The Seerer tribe welcomes you with music, food, and tradition. 

 After breakfast, prepare for a morning of giving! The Diengsala Family sponsors a school and clinic in Makahone. You will have the opportunity to distribute school and medical supplies to benefit residents in the village. Food will be given to the village leader to distribute to families in need during difficult times. Before lunch, enjoy time with village children reading, playing sports, or distributing small gifts. Lunch will be served at the Diengsala Home. After farewells, our next stop is the Pink Lake. Stand in awe of Senegal's rare natural phenomenon caused by a unique combination of microorganisms and a high concentration of salt, which gives the lake its pink color.  

We continue to Saly, a popular destination for beach lovers shoppers and food enthusiasts. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

 Enjoy breakfast with a spectacular view of Senegal's most beautiful beach. Late morning, we will depart for the Bandia National Park for a safari tour, driving alongside Africa's most fascinating wildlife. After lunch, we return to Saly to sunbathe, enjoy a drink at the bar or reflect on the trip thus far. Water sports and other beach activities available, however, not included in the package.  

 After breakfast, we depart for Dakar. Today is at your leisure for individual activities. We hope you will share photos, have conversations, and make plans to visit again. Transfers to the airport will be scheduled depending on flight departure.
