After a nice breakfast (included) we'll drive to the White Place: Plaza Blanca!  We can hike in to experience its unusual topography that O'Keefe depicted in paintings.  To many, the towering white stone pillars and gnome-like hoodoos feel almost spiritual in nature.

Then we'll hop in the van and head up to  Georgia’s fabulous homestead property- Ghost Ranch.    We'll probably have lunch in their cafeteria (Included) overlooking the area around us which is stunning!  

Then we get to meet our horses!

Our horse wrangler will lead us an a trail where Georgia lived and worked.  You just can't closer to the power of nature and creativity!

If  you are not able to do the horseback ride- (believe me- I am not comfortable around horses, but my wrangler was SO awesome and helpful and gave me the BEST and gentle horse!  It is the COOLEST thing to do!)  you can take a van tour to about the same area. 

After leaving  Ghost Ranch, we'll do a fun stop at place where they filmed City Slickers movie.

Rest and Relaxation at Abquiui Inn- they have a gift shop, art gallery and more!

Dinner is on your own. 

This morning after breakfast, (included) we travel to an amazing place for a private art cave tour with a sound healing experience.  Snacks and refreshments included afterward.  If there is time and you want to- we might try to squeeze in a trip to a lavender farm.  

Afterwards, we head to Santa Fe (1 hour)  and world renowned:  La Fonda Hotel  for down time or exploring the plaza.  This famous Santa Fe  hotel is full of beautiful and historical touches.

A day in Santa Fe to explore Georgia O’Keefe’s paintings, art galleries on Canyon Road, and shops or museums on the Plaza.

Then, free time to experience more of the magic in Santa Fe.  You can join Claudia on a tour of art galleries on famous Canyon Road if you wish.  Maybe you'll want to see the treasures that the Native Americans spread out around at the Plaza or at the many stores that line the area.  Visit museums or the large church just off the main area.  There is so much to enjoy!

You are on your own for lunch.

In the afternoon,  join our group at the Georgia O’Keefe Museum (within easy walking distance of the Plaza) for a tour.  (Entry included) See and learn about the progression in Georgia’s art from her early days back East to the influence of the West on her later works.  Meld your experiences at Ghost Ranch and Abiquiu with the impact those areas had on her paintings.

Afterwards:  Maybe you'll want to experience the Railyard!  -optional tour of the hot, new art destination in town

Or- you may do what you want.   From thrift stores, to great bars, shopping, plenty of museums- its all there!

Drinks at Secreto Lounge at Hotel St. Francis (no host) then dinner at Tia Sophia's - Santa Fe's local hangout. Red?  Green?  or Christmas?  Now you can figure out what that means!  (included)

Today we experience two ends of the art spectrum in the Santa Fe area.  First, a visit to a small pueblo up the road to see the work of Native Americans.  What do they think and feel about art and their land?   Then off to a multi-sensory experience that will reward your curiosity and challenge your take on reality.  We end the day with dinner at one of the more hip joints in town.

Meow Wolfe Art immersive environment (Entrance fee included).  Get ready for an artist created and designed adult fun land!  

Dinner at the popular and hip Opuntia Tea & Café (included)  The owner is Claudia's friend who moved from the Bay Area back to Santa Fe.  He's a coffee/tea impresario and now restauranteur.   He's made a big imprint on SF and how it looks and feels today!

As we prepare to end our journey and return home to process what we saw, felt and experienced, we will start our time with a meal, time for sharing and journaling.

Some people may need to leave early to catch their flight back home (transfer not included for those leaving the Albuquerque airport before 6pm)  The Sandia Shuttle runs every hour right from the hotel!.  Click on the link. 

Others will join Claudia and our intrepid driver Charlene as she drives us back to the Albuquerque airport via the Turquoise Trail (transfer included),  Take in the scenery and enjoy a stop at the funky town of Madrid.-  Explore. Shop. (Lunch on your own)

Hop in the van around 2pm and the group goes back to the Albuquerque airport. Farewells. We plan to arrive at the airport around 4pm. 

Your flight should leave around 6pm at the earliest to do New Madrid and be with us on the van back to the airport.
