The second day of your trip will be the exploration of unique monuments and spots in Sarajevo. During the tour you will have the opportunity to visit some of the oldest streets in the city of Sarajevo, our local guide will show you old workshops in Sarajevo. You will also have the opportunity to try and taste the finest both salty and sweet traditional specialties of BH cuisine. You will see the most famous landmarks of Sarajevo.

We will see the Old Orthodox Church, one of the oldest religious objects in Sarajevo. Above all, the most recognizable landmark of Sarajevo is Sebilj, a wooden fountain located on Baščaršija Square. The legend says that drinking water from here means that you will certainly come back to this city in the future.  

Also we will visit a CULT bakery - Poričanin, where various bakery products have been made for almost 90 years. You will have the opportunity to try - SOMUN which is a traditional bakery product that is of special importance to all believers of the Islamic faith during the holy month of Ramadan.

An unserious station in our neighborhood is certainly the street - Sagrađije. Today, one of the oldest coffee roasters is located in that street.  In fact, there used to be three of them in the city of Sarajevo. We will visit the cafe ZEVAK.  Zevak - is a word of oriental origin which means - DELIGHT. The coffee in this roastery has a chocolate color, and each package of coffee has the status - Razgovoruša. 

You will visit old Caravan Saray, after that, you will also see the famous Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque. Nearby, you will see a unique clock tower famous for showing a very unusual time for the modern world. Furthermore, we will walk nearby the oldest shopping center of Sarajevo, the “Bezistan” – old bazaar from the Ottoman period.

Following the traditional crafts, we will continue to a street called Saraci. This street received the status of a "carsija", or bazaar, during the time of Gazi Husref Beg in 1531, when over 60 shops had been built in that street. They were named after the "zantalis" who crafted leather products and the like.

In this street, we will visit the Kalajdzisalihovic slipper shop, where this artful handmade craft has been passed down through the family generation to generation for nearly 200 years.The trademark of the Kalajdzisalihovic family are the famous Sarajevo slippers, which are handmade and designed with a signature symbol - the peacock.

Cetkari - handmade crafting of brushes you will have the opportunity to meet the last Bosnian handmade crafter of brushes - Remzija Balagica, who learned this art from his father. The characteristics of this craft are quality and longevity, with brushes made in this artisanal shop lasting for over half a century.

 After the old town walking through the Old part of the city, we wil see modern streets of Sarajevo.  

You will hear the story of the Sarajevo Jewish community existing for almost five centuries. Today it is an important museum related to Balkan Jewish traditions and customs.

We will see the first modern hotel in Sarajevo and hear the stories of the first Waltz dance and celebrities that stayed here. Our recommendation is to drink Bosnian coffee and eat Sacher cake in this place where East meets West. Then the tour continues to the famous Latin Bridge, Franz-Ferdinand’s assassination site.

We will visit the mahala - Alifakovac where today we’ll find the only workshop that has preserved the authentic method of production - kadaifa. The Ottomans brought the recipe to Sarajevo from Palestine. And in Sarajevo, Kadif became a traditional dessert. You will see for yourself why this craft is one of the most difficult. And we will experience this interesting process of making kadif in the workshop of the Abdin family. 

Last but not least, we’ll visit the Sarajevo Brewery which is considered to be the first industrial production in BiH. The highlight of our visit to the beer hall will be an opportunity to see what the production of Sarajevo beer looks like today 

After the tour, you will surely be richer for one more experience.

Short lunch break,. 

Listen the incredible stories about life in former Yugoslavia, and life in Sarajevo during the siege delivered from an intellectual perspective.

You will visit Olympic complex, Defenders Cemetery where you will listen story of Romeo and Juliet of Sarajevo. You will pass through „Sniper Alley“ – the most danegerous street in Sarajevo during the siege.

You will visit famous „Tunnel of Hope“ that was the only exit from besieged Sarajevo and that represended and still represents the life, the salvation for people who were living in Sarajevo in these times and the story you will hear about construction of that tunnel and many other stories will certainly be something to remember your whole life.

At the end of the tour we will go to beautiful Olympic mountain - Trebevic. We will  see the famous Bob Sleigh Track from the Olympic Games.

At Yellow Fortress, you will experience the  sunset cannon, ritual  related to end of the fasting. it will be a wonderful chance for photographing this precious moment.

Moreover, you will be able to experience Iftar and ritual of 27th night of Ramadan- According to the Muslim calendar, that night is on 28th April and it  is very special, it is a night of God's grace and human needs. A night of honor, a night of the highest value and recognition, the night of the most significant event from the beginning of mankind to the present day, the union of the higher and lower worlds, the union of Heaven and Earth - the revelation of the Qur'an and the descent of all mankind. The publication of the most magnificent Book, which guides all Muslims to the Day of Judgment. The night when the mercy of the Most High is revealed to all worlds. The night of Laylat al-Qadr, as the Qur'an calls it. In the moments of this night, we strengthen our spiritual power and thank Allah, the Exalted, for making us members of the Honorable Ummah.

We have prepared a special lan for you, for a start you will see the markings of the end of fasting, the time of iftar. You will see the end of the fast, which is marked by the firing of a cannon from the bastion. Tobdzija, which marks the end of Lent every day, represents the Ramadan tradition in Sarajevo, but also in some other cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dressed in traditional costume, with a fez on his head, the gunner always attracted attention on the days of Ramadan.

Iftar, an evening meal in Islam that breaks Ramadan fasting.  Iftar will be organized with the Bosnian family, in traditional conditions. After that, going to teravih prayer. Teravih prayer in Islam is a prayer on Ramadan nights. Teravia is an additional prayer. Sunni Muslims pray it in Ramadan at night in mosques. Teravija prayer is not obligatory, but voluntary.

During the Teravija, you will be able to see and photograph all the charms of that night.

We will make sure to photograph Sufi Dhikr. In the case it wont be accessible, you can photograph  Teravih prayer. 

Overnight in Sarajevo.

 On your third day, you will have a chance to  experience a must-do hiking tour around Sarajevo. it is definitely the highest and most isolated village in Bosnia- Lukomir. The long walks will take you to an exploration of the unique Bosnian tradition, history, cuisine which will feel like a breath of fresh air -literally. The tour usually starts on the Bjelašnica mountain, from medieval village Umoljani. The ancient necropolis at Dolovi follows. During the tour, you will enjoy Studeni Potok stream, Peruće Waterfall , a stunning view od Rakitnica Canyon. You will have a chance to try traditional food specialities and a chance to buy local handcrafts as souvenirs.

Located approximately 35 miles (56km)  from the capital Sarajevo, Lukomir is the last of the semi-nomadic mountain villages left in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

However, you will be able to choose how long hiking tour you want, so we can drive you to the starting hiking point.

Virtually inaccessible by car from the early winter to spring, Lukomir’s isolation has also protected it from the trying winds of change and modernity. In Lukomir, life goes on 

as it always has. There is a continuity between the past and the present, between the natural surroundings and the inner sanctums of its safe-keepers. The tombstones of past residents are intermingled with ancient stecci – 14th-century monuments with unique carvings depicting various aspects of life in Medieval Bosnia.

In Lukomir you will have the opportunitiy to take photo shooting during sunset and see traditional Bosnia folk costume. All these costumes were formed over many years and carry elements only traces of elements of many cultural influences.

On your fourth day, you will have a chance to visit goat farm " EKO KOZA" Mostar. It is one of the biggest goat farm in Herzegovina, that is an ideal area for goat production. The company was established in 2006 as a privately owned with 7 employees. The main activities of the company are growing breeding goats, and production of milk, dairy products and meat. 

After the goat farm visit, the next destination is Kravice.

 Kravice waterfalls located on Trebižat River in Bosnia and Herzegovina is a mini version of Niagara Falls, hidden in the Balkans. For its amazing beauty and untouched nature, it’s protected by Bosnia and Herzegovinia as a natural rarity. 

The Radimlja necropolis is located in Vidovo polje.  There is 133 tombstones that have preserved up until today. Surrounded is a wide variety of the tombstone figural representations in Radmilje necropolis. The images of men, women and mixed kolo dance should particularly be mentioned. Among the animal representations we can find images of deer, roe deer, dogs and horses.  This necropolis includes five tombstones with the inscriptions written in Bosnian Cyrillic (Bosančica). Batonoge, the authentic name of the necropolis and its origin can be found hidden in these lines. 

Later on we will go to Počitelj Fortress. Počitelj is a medieval and Ottoman-Mediterranean wonder of nature and architecture, a place like no other.

Blagaj is a remarkable place, especially for curious people. You can feel the perfect combination of silent monuments with the nature sounds revealing the myths and stories from centuries ago. We will also reveal you a secret- it is a place known for healing. People can feel in peace and harmony spending time there.

The dervishes have been using the monastery in order to perform their special rituals – Dhikr (praise to God). Blagaj Tekke is situated by the Spring of the river Buna, surrounded by beautiful mountains. In the silence of the Dervish house’s garden, cooled by the freshness of the wonderful river with the most spectacular view.

Mostar is one of the most beautiful town of Herzgovina. This tour will provide the sightseeing, wine tasting, it will give you an insight into unique small spots such as: Blagaj and Počitelj. Herzegovina is a pearl of the Balkans and you will definitely feel the richness of culture and history- with a does of mysticism.

Travnik and Jajce Waterfall Tour is a lovely daily tour from Mostar in which you will explore central Bosnia and its two most beautiful towns. 

Travnik city, which, for many years, served as a capital of Bosnian eyalet and was known as Vizier City. 

Travnik is one of the best preserved cities from the Ottoman times. There are 28 protected cultural and historical buildings in this area. The most important of them are: the medieval fortress that was built in the 15th century. From overthere we will have a beautiful panoramic view on the city. We will see a very interesting mosqe - Sulejmanija or Šarena mosque, and Elči Ibrahim-Pasha madrassa – muslim school that is still used today. There are also two clock towers built in the 18th century, as well as a sundial, built in 1886.

Travnik is known for lovely small river that we call Plava Voda or Blue Water. Spring of the river is just in the center of this small town where you can enjoy traditional Bosnian coffe. At the same place Franz Joseph tasted his best coffee paying it with a golden coin.

Travnik is a birthplace of Ivo Andric, a Yugoslav novelist, and the 1961 winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature.

 All over Travnik you can see traditional Bosnian houses as well as medieval fortress overlooking the city 

Jajce

After visiting Travnik we will continue to Jajce, the capital of the independent medieval Kingdom of Bosnia, a city of stone, light and water. 

Our guide will show you the most prominent part of the city, its trademark, magnificent, 18 meter high waterfall, place where the river Pliva tumbles abruptly into the Vrbas river. Jajce waterfall dominates the center of the Old Town, which makes this place unique. 

 Josip Broz Tito stayed and worked in the catacombs during a short period of WWII. In 2003, the Commission for the Protection of National Monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina registered the Catacombs as a national monument. 

Jajce is an important city of the Yugoslav history since The Second Conference of Anti-Fascist Council of National Liberation of Yugoslavia (AVNOJ) was held there. Also, we will visit as well the symbol of coexistence in Jajce, the Church of St. Mary or the Sultan Suleyman II Mosque. Today, only the walls remain. Throughout history, people have used this object both as a church and as a mosque.

There are still visible reminders of different religions within this object: mihrab and the entrance to the mosque at one side and the entrance to the church at the other side. From the northeast side there is the tower of St. Luke. The bell tower of St. Luke represents the only surviving medieval tower in the continental part of Balkan. In 1892, the Austro-Hungarian government declared these objects as a cultural heritage. 

We will explore beutiful nature of Jajce by going to Pliva Lakes and Ottoman-era Watermills located a few kilometers away from Jajce.

After breakfast we continue our journey.

First stop is Konjic city.

Tito’s Bunker is of one of the largest and best-kept secrets of the former Yugoslavia. The Bunker is a real miracle of construction, complex for a special purpose – in case a catastrophe happened, Tito and his closest associates would be sheltered here. 

In case of a nuclear war, Tito, the former president of Yugoslavia and his closest associates were to be sheltered here. We are going to visit all the parts of this amazing bunker whose size is definitely going to surprize you. From president’s office, conference rooms, soldiers dormitories up to gas storages and other specialized rooms, you will be amazed by this structure. 

After the visit to Tito’s Bunker we will go to Konjic city center and talk about it’s most recognizable landmark – Konjic Old Bridge. This beautiful bridge was connecting the banks of Neretva river for centuries.

It was since 1682. until WW2, when the German occupiers destroyed it, during the withdrawal of their troops. It was reconstructed as the original bridge in 2009, and has been on the list of national monuments of BiH since 2003.

 Konjic woodcarving is one of the old crafts that is still very much alive and prosperous. The hand-carved wooden craftworks include furniture, some interior design and decorative elements. The tradition of this artistic skill dates back to the 19th century, but the knowledge was passed through an intergenerational transmission.  

 We will visit museum “Mulić Rekord“ and “Zanat workshop“, two best places to learn more about this unique woodcarving tradition. 

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country known for it’s beautiful nature. One of the most precious pearls of our country is river Neretva.  It’s beautiful turquoise color, it’s over falls are something enchanting and very hard to forget. 

 If you like to explore nature, if you like adrenaline, Nerrva Rafting is the perfect option for you. 

Rafting takes about 4 hours (depends from water level, time of year, breaks), with licenced skipper and proffesional equipment(boat, paddle, neoprene suit, rafting shoes, lifejacket, helmet, anorak). Experience like no other, a lots of water springs, small waterfalls, and small beaches for relaxation. 

 Later on we are heading back to Sarajevo. 

Eid

To experience this special day in Sarajevo, you need to wake up earlym before sunrise. I think that wont be a problem for you since it wil be another opportunity for you to photograph the sunrise and enjoy the peaceful moments in Sarajevo, right before the celebration starts.

45 minutes after sunrise, we are going to the mosque to experience the most significant part of the Eid- Eid prayer in Bey's moque. You will witness thousands of people practicing the rules of Islam religion. You can photograph the whole ceremony. 

The traditonal breakfast with the Bosnian family will help you discover the Bosnian cuisine and precious famiily atmosphere, You will probably feel as he member of the family.

Sarajevo strees are usually crowded during Eid and you can enjoy the  vivid period of the city.

Lunch time  surrounded by another Bosnian family will enable you to taste Bosnian specialities, It will be a great chance to photograph all the rituals of the  Eid celebration . Lunch during Eid celebration is  a good chance to meet many people since it is always planned for the relatives, friends and special guests.

In the evening you will be able to enjoy the concert of religious music.  Famous Bosnian singers and many foreign singers, esp.from Turkey participate and create positive and relaxing moments for all the lovers of religious music.
