This is a 3 day/4 night (5 days in total to include arrival and departure days) self guided walk along the Norfolk Coast Path National Trail. This will be organised by Explore Norfolk UK so all you have to do is turn up and enjoy the stunning and unique landscape, walking an average of 15 miles a day.

Pricing and deposit is per person.

This incredibly beautiful Norfolk Coast Path will take you over sand dunes and beaches, national nature reserves, salt marshes and cliffs, coastal villages and Victorian towns, working fishing ports, as well as presenting you with amazing wildlife. You'll also love the huge skies that only Norfolk can give you!

16 miles/25.7 km - walking from Hunstanton to Burnham Overy Staithe
This is a beautiful stretch of the Norfolk Coast Path walking alongside the Old Hunstanton golf course with its beach huts, in amongst the sand dunes and then over to Holme Nature Reserve. Walking along the board walk at Brancaster, hugging the salt marshes and water meadows at Burnham Deepdale, arriving at Burnham Overy Staithe. Depending on your budget, you can either stay in Burnham Overy Staithe or catch the bus to Wells-next-the-Sea. Or even stay in the Georgian town of Burnham Market

15 miles/22.5 km - walking from Burnham Overy to Blakeney
This stretch takes in the famous and beautiful Holkham beach and continues on to the popular working fishing port of Wells-next-the-Sea. You may grab some fish and chips here and continue on your journey! Heading through more wonderful salt marshes with incredible views towards Blakeney Point, you finally reach the quay in the pretty village of Blakeney.

A very different day today on the Norfolk Coast Path. Heading on past Cley Nature Reserve, a large chunk of this walk is shingle. It can be hard going, but the landscape and the feeling of remoteness is very different to what you will have seen so far. The landscape changes dramatically from the beginning of the day’s walk to the end. You eventually walk on the cliff tops from Weybourne to Sheringham and then enter developments in the form of West Runton and East Runton static caravan parks. You arrive at Cromer on the cliff face looking down on the Pier and feel a great sense of achievement!

I'm Suzy Watson, and I established Explore Norfolk UK in 2013. This covers walking and cycling holidays. As I was walking along a stretch of the Norfolk Coast Path and being stunned by its beauty yet again, I suddenly realised just what I could offer visitors to Norfolk. Then a cycling route came along so I did the same for this! So, as well as living in Norfolk, I am here to give you the opportunity to book a fantastic and memorable Norfolk walking or cycling holiday through Explore Norfolk UK, a truly Norfolk business.

The 4 of us had a very good time on this 7 day adventure. We liked our accommodations and the lovely small towns we stayed in. However, we did not feel we were properly informed of the road conditions. We felt the loose gravel, and loose lady paths and cow pastures could have been better explained beforehand and we would have found a different road to go on. We had several falls during these difficult paths. I also think the Navigation would have been a lot easier if the route had been divided into 7 daily itineraries. The average age of our 4 women is 80+ and our technological experience is not so great so it was challenging to use the Ride with GPS app set up as it was for one complete journey!! However, we did love the trip and felt very proud of ourselves when we had completed it successfully. We had great weather, and we really enjoyed our Pub/Hotels every night. We met really friendly helpful people along the way and when one of us had a flat tire on our E-bike, a wonderful older gentleman jumped up off the bench he was resting on and said, "I can change your tire! I know how to change a tire!" And so he did!!

Our accommodations were delightful, the baggage service timely and the Ride with GPS challenging! We did not comprehend the amount and difficulty of the off road riding, 22% a day is a lot. Deep sand and very narrow paths were difficult but doable. We would have much preferred the GPS to be daily routes rather than one 7 day route. I can’t emphasize that last statement enough, as we were new to “Ride with GPS.”

Well organised, very good communication beforehand accurate detailed walk notes plus useful map and guidebook, luggage transfer perfect Taxi arrived for pick up just as expected (like end of episode 2 of Back to the Future…) Interesting range of hotels - with surprisingly, a bath in virtually every one.

A good trip. Organisation, information, accommodation, baggage transfer etc all very good. The trail itself was of course flat throughout. Well signposted. First couple of days heading south west from Cromer were, as expected, nothing exceptional by way of scenery, meandering through a mixture of trail and narrow lanes. No problem with the lanes - traffic was slight and accommodating with drivers giving lots of space to walkers and friendly waves. The middle part was mostly on disused rail lines, often surrounded by foliage so no great views. The remainder of the Way was much more interesting through the Broads, much of it alongside river banks. The waterway system was interesting and well worth the trip. Very quite with very few long distance walkers. So, all in all, peaceful and enjoyable with a company who got everything right.

Everything went as planned, accommodation was comfortable and fit for purpose. Itinerary was generally achievable and very fortunate with the weather. Overall a rewarding experience.
