A once-monthly journey through San Francisco’s wild side.
Join us for a unique half-day adventure that blends mindful movement, city discovery, and community connection. Each month, we’ll explore a different segment of San Francisco’s Crosstown Trail—a 17-mile path that weaves through hidden trails, lush parks, vibrant neighborhoods, and coastal bluffs.
We’ll begin at 9:30 AM with a 30-minute all-levels yoga warm-up—no mats, no fuss, just standing movement with shoes on to ground your breath and body before we set off. Then we’ll hit the trail for a 2–3 hour walk (roughly 3–5 miles), soaking in city views, tiled staircases, community gardens, and peaceful forest paths you’d never expect in the middle of San Francisco.
Midway through our journey, we’ll grab a snack from a locals only neighborhood business, and wrap up around 12:30 PM with an optional group lunch nearby.

🗺️ June 7: Section 1 – Candlestick Point to McLaren Park
From the shores of the Bay through Visitacion Valley’s community gardens and the sweeping hills of McLaren Park.
🌿 July 12: Section 2 – Glen Park to Laguna Honda
Explore Glen Canyon’s dramatic landscapes and eucalyptus-lined trails with Sutro Tower as your compass.
🌇 August 23: Section 3 – Golden Gate Heights & Grandview Park
Stairway to heaven—literally. Stunning mosaic steps lead to some of the best city views in town.
🌸 September 27: Section 4 – Golden Gate Park to Presidio
Ramble through rose gardens, around Blue Heron Lake, and up the shaded Park Presidio Greenway.
🌊 October 25: Section 5 – Presidio to Lands End
Dune trails, crashing waves, and postcard views of the Golden Gate Bridge. End your journey above the Pacific.
Whether you join for one segment or commit to all five, URBAN EXPLORATION offers a fresh way to move your body, meet new people, and see the city with new eyes. No yoga experience necessary—just curiosity and a good pair of walking shoes.

Meet at Sunrise Point for bay side yoga then hike approximately 6 miles from Candlestick Point through Visitacion Valley’s community gardens and the sweeping hills of McLaren Park stopping at local's favorite Excelsior Coffee before ending at Glen Park Bart stop. This route will experience about 850 feet of elevation gain.
Experience it all and brag about it to your friends. This package covers attendance to all 5 sessions and a sweet piece of swag to commemorate your big summer of urban adventuring. Upon completion you will have hiked over 17 miles with roughly 2,600 feet of elevation gain, snacked at 5 local businesses, and experienced countless vistas of the city by the bay. This package is only available to purchase up to 2 days before the series begings on 6/7/24.

Meet at Sunrise Point for bay side yoga then hike approximately 6 miles from Candlestick Point through Visitacion Valley’s community gardens and the sweeping hills of McLaren Park stopping at local's favorite Excelsior Coffee before ending at Glen Park Bart stop. This route will experience about 850 feet of elevation gain.
🌿 Section 2 – July 12: Glen Park to Laguna Honda
Meet at Glen Park Bart Plaza then we walk to Glen Park Canyon for yoga surrounded by trees. Next we take off on a 3.1 mile hike through the canyon full of dramatic landscapes and eucalyptus-lined trails up to the Laguna Honda trail ending at Forest Hill Muni. This route will experience about 740 feet of elevation gain.
🌇 Section 3 – August 23: Golden Gate Heights & Grandview Park
Meet at Forest Hill Muni then walk through Golden Gate Heights Park for yoga perched atop one of SF's fanciest neighborhoods. Next we take off on a 2.1 mile hike winding up the Stairway to Heaven to some of the best city views in town at Grandview Park ending at 16th and Judah Muni Stop. This route will experience about 500 feet of elevation gain.
🌸 Section 4 – September 27: Golden Gate Park to Presidio
Meet at 16th and Judah Muni Stop then walk to Golden Gate Park for yoga at Mother's Meadow. Then we continue on a 2.3 mile hike up to Heron's Head Lake where we will traverse a water fall. This route will pass us through the rose garden and start our journy up San Francisco's famous greenway ending at Park Presideo & Geary Blvd. This route will experience about 120 feet of elevation gain.
🌊 Section 5 – October 25: Presidio to Lands End
Meet at Park Presideo & Geary Blvd then walk to Mountain Lake Park for our yoga session. Then we will embark on our final hike of 4.5 miles through the Presideo to Baker Beach the past Seacliff, and up the Lands End Trail ending at Lands End Look Out. This route will experience about 510 feet of elevation gain.
Meet at Glen Park Bart Plaza then we walk to Glen Park Canyon for yoga surrounded by trees.
