Tipping is customary for guides and host. We suggest budgeting about 10–15% of the trip cost for guides and hosts. Small tips for lodge staff are appreciated but never required.
Lunch is not included, so you can dine at camp restaurants with breathtaking views of watering holes while spotting wildlife. Budget ~$20 per meal.

Set along the Olifants River, Balule is one of Kruger’s smallest and most rustic camps. Unfenced and completely off-grid, it offers a quiet, authentic bush experience for travelers seeking solitude and simplicity.

Pack up your rooftop and dome tents and set off northwards through Kruger National Park in your fully equipped Land Cruiser. Travel along off-the-beaten-path routes, spotting wildlife along the way.
Stop for a scenic picnic lunch in the bush, then continue to Tsendze Camp, a tranquil and remote northern camp. Upon arrival, set up camp, relax, and soak in the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.
In the late afternoon, enjoy a game drive near the camp before returning to relax at camp and enjoy dinner under the stars.
Tsendze is a peaceful, unfenced bush camp nestled under shady Mopani trees, just 7 km south of Mopani Rest Camp. Known for its quiet atmosphere and abundant wildlife, it’s perfect for travelers seeking a simple, rustic connection with nature.
