Itinerary
Day 1
City Tour
- This Bogotá city tour begins as we start walking downtown La Candelaria, which is the oldest part of the city.
- Walking through the streets, we can observe the old colonial houses and remember the history of the city since it was founded in 1538.
- Visit the Botero Museum, where you will find a collection of pictures and sculptures in a curious style of this famous artist from Medellin.
- Arrive at the Plaza De Bolivar, that is the main square and then visit Major's House, Justice Palace, the Main Cathedral, the Bishop House, the Parliament, and the President's House.
- Continue walking across the Carrera 7 to arrive in the Calle 13 where you will visit the San Francisco Church, the oldest church in the city with wonderful baroque altars.
- After visiting the church, visit the Gold Museum that houses 50,000 pieces of gold, alloys, ceramics, and textiles of the indigenous cultures since 500 BC.
- You can take a break, looking at handicrafts and the famous Colombian emeralds.
- At last, with the cable car or funicular, climb the Monserrate Hill from where you will have a spectacular view of the city.
