      About this trip

7 nights onboard the M/Y Blue Adventurer + up to 20 dives

Join Blue Planet for some incredible diving in the Red Sea! Our “Northern Wrecks & Reefs” itinerary will have us exploring the iconic wrecks and stunning reefs across the northern Red Sea. And for those who want to visit Egypt’s historical sites, we’ll head to Alexandria, Cairo and other famous sites for a few days after.

      Red Sea

Beneath the crystal blue surface of the Red Sea lies a rich and diverse ecosystem just waiting to be explored. Located between Africa and Asia, the warm tropical waters are home to more than 1100 species of fish, 200 species of hard and soft corals and 44 species of shark. This rich diversity is in part due to the expanse of coral reef that extends along its coastline.

The Red Sea is a unique marine paradise that offers some of the most spectacular diving in the world. With miles of beautiful coral reef, numerous wrecks and a vast array of marine life: from brightly colored nudibranchs and tropical fish, to large pelagics such as oceanic white tips and hammerheads, there really is something for everyone!

      The Diving

Minimum dive certification/experience: PADI Open Water Diver required. PADI Enriched Air/Nitrox Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications strongly recommended (can be completed on trip). A minimum of 20 dives required to dive the Thistlegorm wreck.

Our itinerary, Northern Wrecks & Reefs, visits plenty of wrecks including the world-famous Thistlegorm, Dunraven, Giannis D, Carnatic and potentially even more. There is also some fantastic reef diving including the Ras Mohamed marine park, Danaba (Shag Rock), Sha'ab El Erg (famous for dolphin encounters) and the Island of Gobal.

Check out the itinerary for a description of the different sites we'll visit, but keep in mind that nothing is guaranteed. All dive sites are subject to weather conditions and the final route taken is at the absolute discretion of the captain and dive guides.

      M/Y Blue Adventurer

Part of the Blue o Two fleet, this liveaboard is everything you would expect from a 5-star diving vessel. All cabins benefit from en suite facilities, air conditioning and in-cabin entertainment. The vessel boasts a large communal dining and saloon area with an entertainment system, shaded deck area and two sun decks; there is always space to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Red Sea.

Thank you so much to Jen and Ryan, plus the entire team at Scubaqua Dive Center, for working with me to complete my Advanced Open Water and a handful of other specialities. The accommodations at the Old Gin House were beautiful and the diving was spectacular - a wonderful array of reefs and wrecks. Statia is definitely on my list of places I'd love to dive again. Thanks again for everything!

Hi Kristin, thank you so much for coming with us. We had an absolute blast. Keep up the fishy identification. There are always more fish to find! Try those stationary dives, too!

Wonderful trip! Everyone at the dive shop in Belize was super nice. Met a lot of really wonderful people and hope to keep in touch with them. Really nice to have a trip that didn't require being out of office an entire week.

This was a short, but densely packed trip. The trip was well organized, the leader did a good job communicating with everyone and organizing the various meetups. The dive shop selected was nice (not fantastic), and I thought the accommodations selected were very nice (above expectations). We stayed at a small hotel, so get togethers happened organically and were organized by the group as well. Really appreciated how travel arrangements and transfers were handled as well. I definitely plan to travel with this group again.
